No, they weren't. At least not in general. There are some 4k cameras with tilt and optical zoom out there, which is definitely better than a 1950s or 60s film camera.
The military is always 50+ years ahead of what we civilians can get our hands on.
Just imagine what they are playing with today, but we won't find out about for another 50 years.

It's better to Search Them one by one. USSR tested about 800 nukes, US +1000. Many of the initial tests, in the 50s have the Code "RDS", could start with the RDS-1. The initial bombs, before the H-Bomb were codenamed Joe, the first Joe-1, in 1949, 5 years after Trinity

The first scene is an edited one. The Tu-16 is loaded by a conventional, 9ton FAB-9000M54, what is also appeared in the drop footage as well. I assume that those sharp craters are also made by these huge, but conventional bombs. However, after the target materials/animals footages, the explosion itself is a nuclear one. By the way, I would like to see a real FAB-9000M54 explosion. I saw this bomb in Monino Air Museum, where this bomb is also there, right next to a WW2 FAB-5000 and some FAB-3000, 1500... and so on bombs.

My work friend told me, he drove soldiers to nuke sites around Moscow he told me that theirs thousands and thousands of nukes placed under ground. The Soviet Lieutenant didn’t even allow him to look at the nuclear missiles. After he left the army they made him sign that they didn’t allow him to leave anywhere for 5 years and 10 years to do not tell anybody about the nuclear missiles around Moscow...

That last one looked like it was one of the very high megaton yield explosions, perhaps test 219, 147, or 173. I’ve been looking for footage of any of those three and I can’t find any, could that last one be footage of one of those three?
I used to believe that the last clip was one of these tests but I changed my mind on the subject recently. Anyways, if someone has that kind of footage that's Rosatom.
