I hurt for you when I saw the spill on the floor! But you took it with grace. Love the red cabinet. What a beautiful shade of red. And with everything going on you still managed to decorate! Good for you!
Yes I have to create a cosy atmosphere in the dark of winter! It's a must :-) Annoyingly I didn't notice the spill instantly but it took 30 minutes before I did (the plastic cup didn't make a noise compared to the rest). Maybe I could have made it better if noticed first. But nothing to do about that now... Can only work with what I got
Love the red cabinet. As for the mistakes, it happens. I know it was very frustrating at the time, but they can be fixed. You do such a great job so I am sure no one else will ever notice your "repairs".
I’ve had days like that. What helped me get through it was to step back and quit for the day. The next day I’d work on repairing the damage so I could move forward. Some people are better than I at clearing their head to move forward.
Maybe I would have done that but it also helps to have this channel, it pushes you to keep moving forward :-) I don't want to let my viewers down and have nothing to show at the end of the week ;-)
The door trim looks beautiful and dresses up the wall nicely. Your skills in wood working keep growing. I really like your choice of red paint for the cabinet. Take care
Moa your celebrations sound wonderful and fascinating. How I wish I could share it too.I just enjoy watching you work on restoring your beautiful place step by step.Your smart, beautiful and hard working.😊I.hope your planning on showing your place when it's all done each day your getting closer.I hope you lock your doors while your working so no one besides your cats break in.Be safe
Life would be so boring without all these "petits imprévus" (f... though!). I like the smoothness (?) of the paint, it's a sort of asmr moment and the deep red is beautiful (except on the floor ;)
Mistakes can't be avoided though, it's bound to happen somehow either one way or the other :-) It helps when you think of it like that. At least these mistakes I know how to fix, that's a comfort haha. Thank you so much!
It's really flustering when, after so much hard work, there is already damage at the finish line that needs to be repaired again, but the hole in the wall you can now cover up with a Christmas decoration, unfortunately the stained floor is more of a problem. Hang in there, it's all fixable and the cupboard looks good and if you don't like it, as you say it can be repainted, but the important thing is that you will be happy, it's your house and you live there. Warm greetings from Poland
Thanks for the pep talk :-) Don't worry, it was fine after an hour of break. When I look at it now, I feel nothing haha! Just another thing on my to do list. But yes it pushes the finish line further away. Yes I am happy with how it turned out, it's going to look great on the wall! I love Poland! Best, Moa
@@old_school_moaboa Moa, the most important thing is not to give in to adversity! You will overcome them and as you say it will only delay you a little. Good luck, it will be good and beautiful🍀
My dear, I'm sorry for the mistake. But you are doing so well on your renovation overall. Yes, it is a step back. But...the cost is to your pride and the timeline of your renovation. It's Advent season, and it's a good time to take deep breaths. Take time to reflect on what your goal is and then regenerate with Christmas. God bless you.
Oh yes, that's very true. And to add to it, I have two whole weeks of holiday for Christmas and those will be dedicated to my house (and maybe a couple of days to my family ;-) )
Oh Moa that's sad that you have to go back and fix those tasks later. I hope when working gets to be too much you take breaks your still young to have fun.Im 67 and yesterday I had my music on full blast on my car.haha
Haha, yes, I always listening to high music when commuting and travelling :-) Tomorrow I am going to a Lucia celebration in Helsingborg with a friend (she was first a volunteer but keeps coming back to visit), so there's that to look forward to :-)
Soo sorry to hear you flushed up but we all do join the crowd. Moa How do you celebrate Christmas where you live? And what are your plans Christmas day? I think you still do beautiful work on your house.Your so gifted and I love seeing you persevering it will be worth it all some day.hugs ❤
In Sweden we all celebrate on Christmas Eve. Christmas Day is just for eating leftovers and enjoying presents and resting :-) We also have a celebration on the 13th of december, to celebrate St Lucia. I shared some of it in my last video and tomorrow I am going to a church to see a proper Lucia train, which is a choire so it's more of a concert. But there will also be a Lucia train at most work places and in every school and kindergarten for sure ;-) And one on the national channel on tv. I am going to film it for my Patreons, if it's possible. 1st of advent is also a huge deal, where we go to the city centres and watch the shops window displays, we call it the Christmas Displaying or something (julskyltning in Swedish). This has become bigger by each year lately and in my hometown there was a huge concert and markets and lots of event. It gathered huge crowds :-)
I am glad you found it :-) I just got a notification today I've been creating videos for two years now, but it was only this fall that I started making weekly vlogs. In the past I only made a vlog once I had finished a part of a project or a project, now I just share what I have done during the week, otherwise it wouldn't work. But I think I might do extra videos in the future with all the footage of finished projects, like one piece of furniture or one room from start to finish. Either way, a warm welcome to you :-)
It's a filler to repair wood with, that works well with linseed oilpaint (a plastic filler would make the paint have a different shine than the rest). It's made by a Swedish brand and you can find it here if you want to try it. It can be bought in all building heritage stores and some more in Sweden, don't know where you are from but it can definetly be shipped around the world depending what store you buy it from. The product is called Rubinol and the manufacturer Ernst P. ernstp.se/butik/spackel-reparation/spackel/linoljespackel/spackel-ek100-g-rubinol/

Ah yes, well it looks a lot different in real life. My camera somehow makes the colour look brown. It's more of a terracotta colour, pinkish in some way. I will not use this colour again though, but more because of other reasons, so don't worry :-)

Great choice of color for the cabinet, such a rich red.

That's wonderful to hear! I will think of this next time I don't feel like to sit down to edit ;-)
Skåpet blir ju så fint med den färgen. ❤️
Eller hur, den fick en så fin patina direkt dessutom
@ verkligen. 😍
I really like the red for the cabinet. It was a good choice.
Thank you, I am glad you like it :-)
I am happy to be able to follow your restoration. Nearly each episode I learn something new. Thank you and I wish you blessed Christmas 🌲🌲🌲

I love that particular red. What were you using in that squeeze tube to fill in the holes in the wood trim?

I'm hoping to see some rooms painted anything other than brown. Not my favorite colour.

Hej Moaboa.

Yes, they are still wet in some spots. When they dry they will be delicare pink- brown, no stains.
