"I am the one who knocks" is such a good line not because it's Walt who really is the danger, he's just the guy who told Jesse to go after Gale. He's not dealing with any of the stuff Jesse's going through
Another great opening scene to this episode with the the ruthless hit on the Los Pollos Hermanos truck carrying the Blue. This episode contains two of the greatest quotes form the whole show, notably when Walt says to Skyler in the bedroom 'I am the one who knocks' and later towards the end when Skyler says to Walt 'someone has to protect this family from the man who protects this family'.
Great reaction. Skyler gets a lot of hate, but the final scene with her and Walt is why most of it (with the exception of Ted, the tool) is undeserved IMO. She is trying to protect her family, but Heisenberg is gonna Heisenberg.
Walter's bit about "If you make me return the car, it'll crush him [and he'll blame you]" is such a classic out of the toolbox. It's not just that he's petty, immature, vindictive and choking on his sense of superiority, he has to control the people around him -- as part of his self-image, but also to protect the bubble of his self-image from being popped.
Yea Skyler's fears are proven to be well founded as cartel hitmen have now shown up to Walt's house with the intention of killing everyone inside TWICE! First the twins with their axe and then the hitmen with guns Gus sent in Face Off. And that's just what DaKids have seen so far in terms of Walt accidentally putting his family in danger
I mean Walt is correct about it being a setup up but the way he tells Jesse this is an insult. Jesse is finally starting to feel that he is a valuable member of the team and Walt steps in and crushes it. Gus and Mike are not stupid. They noticed how Walt treats Jesse and took advantage of it.
Walt is his own worst enemy. Especially when it comes to his ego. He got Hank back on the case because his ego wouldn't allow for Gale to get credit for the blue stuff. His ego wouldn't allow Skyler to see him as (in his mind) "a weak little man in danger" so he pushes Skyler away. His ego wouldn't allow for Jesse to be anything more than his inferior partner so again all he manages to do is push Jesse away.
@@TAG152gaming Yes and no. Bogdan's focus on "as-is" is because he thinks he's selling them damaged goods. Skyler's ploy to get him to sell, having Kuby pose as a state agent telling he needs $200k of equipment/upgrades to reopen, has Bogdan thinking he's saving that money and passing the expense on to them with the sale. Denying him his first dollar when he thinks he's screwing them out of six figures isn't that bad, all things considered.
Well Walt was the only one who has had to kill people until he had to ask Jesse to do it to save them both so true he is not like the twins he does it out of defense except for Jane.
Walt's arrogance and childishness -- and anger -- that we saw in S01E01 is really in full bloom in this episode :) Also -- Tyrus is a great new supporting character. Menacing like Mike, but none of the 'awww, grumpy grandpa' vibes :)
It would have been even colder if Walt had insisted that Bogdan give up the dollar bill, but then immediately offer it back to him and say, “Skylar would want me to let you keep it.”
That's the point of the series tho. They came into the show as doubters of its reputation as the best show of all time, and are slowly having the minds changed as the show unfolds

Gus now sees what Walt saw in Jesse
Easily controllable and solid learner
@SteveNathn Also loyal and more intelligent and capable than he first appears
After y’all are done with breaking bad, y’all have to watch better call Saul
El Camino before Better Call Saul
What they said ☝️😅
You talking about the ene when the end isn’t even near. BB is top notch stop talking about sequel before this one ends.
@@maximotion2316bro…
And after El Camino/better call Saul. They should watch/react Dexter I bet they’d enjoy those shows as well

Walt is right though it was a set up and Gus knows how to play his game
They never did find that common sense in that hole 🕳️ 😂
“I am the one who knocks” says the guy who just had to send Jesse to knock because he couldn’t successfully beg Mike to not kill him lmao
walt spending that dollar is probably my top 5 fave moments in the series lmao
So petty! 😆

@hbk314 it is petty but so is Bogdans comments about Skylar and Walt lol
Damn Walt even took dude's little framed dollar bill. To Walt that just means gettin a Sprite.
Jessie slick bruh. He knows tweakers get hyper fixated on stuff like that 😂
One of my favorite scenes in the whole season, IIRC :)
I am the one who knocks is the most gangster shit ever
My heart was always with Jesse, if Walt would have left him alone, he might of had a chance😓
He goes through so much stuff that no one should ever have to go through because of Walt. And he still kept his heart and conscience through it all
So excited for this episode!

Walt speech is great and everything but it's so untrue he's scared

I'm afraid "putting them on a bus to Honduras" doesn't actually mean, putting them on a bus back home to Honduras.
