Your quite right about the tone, I’ve been trying forever to get something close Mark K tone and vibrato but no cigar yet but will keep trying. Thanks for taking the time to comment, and you can put your coat back now.
Hi David thanks for your question, the only thing I did was to increase the Tempo slightly faster than Phil, the hardest thing I found was trying to get anywhere near the original sound but then I’m not The genius Mark Knpfler. Good luck with it, it’s certainly worth the effort. Ted
Beautiful! Can you please tell me what pedals and effects you used to get that tonal quality and sound? What Amp is used? I am a big fan of MK and trying to replicate this sound on the 3 Fenders I own..... Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it. I used GarageBand for Mac and Guitar plugged into a scarlet Audio interface, and selected the Brit and Clean Amp,I used the built in pedals Hi Drive treble boost and Squash compressor, and then spent a day or two adjusting things until I got the sound I wanted. Hope this helps and good luck.
