- Today, In this episode of Iran 2021 series, I am explaining more of IRAN while meeting more couch surfers in IRAN. After visiting Caspian sea and Bandar Anzali Port located in the Gilan Province of IRAN, I took a night bus and I arrived in the city of Tabriz, IRAN. Here in Tabriz, I was accompanied by two couch surfers with whom I had very useful conversations about Iran and India. Do watch the complete video and let me know about what you feel about the same.

Sir in iran the price of Petrol is just 3 rs in Indian Currency. They are dirt cheap. It's only due to American sanctions we have to pay High price for oil and we have to spend billions more and we make loss in costs. Not only Iranians are paying The price of sanctions but also oil importer country like India are also paying High price for Sanctions on Iran.
India can play a mediator role to solve the issues between USA n Iran. Just like Saudi n France friendship growing

The Americans can have trade with our enemy Pakistan and even talk with Taliban but we can't have trade because they have issues with Iran. Nobody sells oil below international price and the rate is in dollar. One Iranian Rial is equivalent to 0.0018 rupees and 1 US dollar is 2,80,000 Rial. It is because of US sanctions and failure of nuclear talks that their currency is falling.

I had Iranian girlfriend I travelled with her and it was 1 year together.....she came to study Indian classical dance living with her elder sister and her husband studying in Delhi university2011......... after that she came here 3 times ( 2014, 2017, 2018) we are still in touch ... Hi Tarun, Your series is really interesting. Your Iran trip is really mind-blowing as you have gone through different cities.
With regards to cheap transportation, few points need to be considered.
1. It is petro-dollar economy.
2. Iran is neither a pure democracy nor a pure monarchy. In a Multi-party democracy usually Party-1 comes to power and make money and then Party-2 comes to power and make money. Running a political party too is a commercial business and enterprise.
3. Iranian Revolution in itself is a type of socialism/communism with a theistic approach.
4. Iran is surviving with too many sanctions which still needs to be commendable compared to their Gulf Counterparts.
Iran used to be a petro dollar economy. It's now a manufacturing economy and more the 80 % of the governments revenue is from taxation and not oil. Sanctions, remember? Iran now is probably the most self sufficient country in the world. We now have a huge huge industrial base.

Iran is the 2nd largest gas production country in the world. And Iran is also self sufficient country for civilians basic needs. Thats why there is no price hike of basic required things though there is sanctions on Iran.
