I got 4th place in my school's spelling bee in 5th grade and then 7th at the regional level. I always loved spelling bees. Too bad they stop in higschool.
jenna ostroff I got 4th place in all of my spelling bees All the way up to 5th grade. I got 1st place in my 5th grade spelling bee and I got 2nd in the County Spelling bee
(2nd place speller) Tanvi Rackesh participated in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in 2017! She won the regional Scripps spelling bee and participated in the State Scripps National spelling bee
Littleaa1 Life’s not fair. That’s why I love spelling bees. I, for sure, would have said something like “rennette.” Some words just require you to see them.
Jen Saw Man, my reply is so late lol. I agree so much though. I get so nervous in school when I'm under pressure. I chew the shit out of my nails, and with all those people staring at me? Hell no, my voice would come out as a high pitched squeak then die out. I understand now why they couldn't spell it. It's fine if you messed up lettuce, it happens. I would freeze up and mess up a 3-4 letter word lol.
When she said igneous I remembered the son don’t stay in school by boy in a band where he raps ‘igneous metamorphic and sedimentary rock but I don’t know squat about trading stocks’
Stray Stars some school districts only have one school that does a spelling bee or there aren’t enough people for a district spelling bee. it just depends on the location and other factors.
@@oliverdespi6002 Im american and for the county bee, we have to pass the written test before we can go to the oral one, and the written test has 5 vocab and 20 spelling questions. We dont have to emphasize capitalization or diacritical marks though
8th grade guy and 3rd grade girl has a difference while knowing all the words ....but actually she deserves more and he being in 8th grade was not a good competitor....and she was getting difficult words rather than that guy .... That wasn't fair
Sinco you clearly do, if you didn’t don’t you think you’d just skip along the comment? Buttttt you didn’t and you cared enough to say something as foolish as that.
love these levels the words are more useful than the national finals

WHY in hell do silent letters exist ? Why can’t you just remove them from the word ? There’s no reason for them to be there if they’re silent .

or how money works at all, where does it come from?
how does the thing that motivates the world function?
how do they choose the words for each one?some of them seem easier 😕
The list is made before the bee and they go down the list they don’t pick a word them self.
11:14 Nooo!!!
Any tips for the test before this, what to study?
We don't just skip from school to regionals SMH. We go to districts first... What the heck?
Stray Stars sameeeeee I have a written test coming up that decides who goes to an oral bee that decides who goes to nationals.
Stray Stars but it changes by state cause of sizes
@@susannahburch6827 I figured as much. Good luck with your test 👍

Patrick you can do it
This seems so easy
Trust me it’s not that easy
it's honestly not. this is late but as it said before they had to study well over a thousand words, many of them being fairly advanced.

true, but the words are just randomized. they don't pick each word for the person, its all randomized
I am going to the regional Spelling Bee and I am so nervous I have to study words in Arabic and everything I’m nervous
Blue Clay Crafts I saw you at another video.
