Out quicker what? Cause he “hesitated”? He knows how fast he can throw compared to others, that extra speed seems to make the difference in him being able to take his time vs others getting it thrown right away
@@Steve.._. he had 145 put outs on 434 attempts, dude needs to get the ball out quicker 😂 you know nothing about baseball except “ooo guy throws hard must be really good”

@@Steve.._. absolutely not. Have you ever watched baseball? And it’s okay if you haven’t, but the double clutch and extra hard throw doesn’t help. Throwing normally without hesitation would undoubtedly get the ball to first base much quicker (yet wouldn’t be as flashy, so he wouldn’t make highlight reels, which is what he’s going for).
turns out he's a better defensive shortstop than cruz this season by about 6 OAA and 4 FRV. needs to hit the ball as hard as he throws it, though, but that'll come with time
We had a shortstop like this back in high school, and one day, we were taking rapid infield drills that required constant substitution so everyone got multiple reps. There were four of us at first base, and the late afternoon sun was always RIGHT behind third base, completely blinding us from any incoming throw from 3B/SS. One of our heavier first basemen’s turn came up against the shortstop who threw about 94, and all he could was squint and shrug right before the ball nailed him in the belly. It left about a basketball sized bruise

The thing that impresses me the most is the accuracy he has while throwing that fast, what amazing plays not only for the speed but they are a little bit more accurate than a few shortstoppers that threw slower
