Almost 13 years have passed since the last episode of Ezel. I was 6 at that time, I didn't understand the meaning behind the show, all I saw was fancy cars, cool guns and suits. But there was always something special about this series, the good soundtrack while Ramiz dayi is saying life changing quotes, the weird atmosphere that I cannot even describe, the great acting, the characters knew when to talk and when to keep shut, the music was loud when it had to be and silent during the sad scenes. The whole show is simply perfect. Ezel has that SOMETHING that I, even after 13 years cannot decypher what. It is Ezel that made me start reading books and understand just how important some quotes are. Back in the day I thought that having a huge group of friends means happines, now, I know that even with a small group of friends you are not guaranteed of surviving "unharmed", there are plenty of people who left me when I needed them the most, but constantly looking back at the past and thinking "what if" won't change anything. I grew up with Ramiz and Ezel. Everyone has a teacher in their life, Ramiz and Ezel were mine, even tho silly, but true. I wish one day someone makes a series like Ezel, where everything has a fine balance, the drama, the action, the romance, the mystery, the philosphy, but, as time flies, the reality of that wish becomes more and more impossible. Even tho I love shows like Cukur, Icerde, Peaky Blinders, Good Fellas, and now Gaddar (We have to see how that turns out), they come nowhere close to Ezel. Johny 123, Ezel is the best . The script by its own is wonderful and if we add excelent actors, spectacular photography and music we have a master piece. It´s true that Ay Yapim produced other great series like Karadayi or Aski Memnu, but recently they copy and paste old stories and mix them, creativity is in crisis. If you see the rating now, only one series of Ay Yapim is in the top ten: Icerde.
