The female driver of the Toyota Prius was eastbound on E St. with her dog. The male driver of the Toyota Camry was making a left turn from westbound E St onto southbound Woodlawn Ave. The two collided, and the Camry was spun around and went into the wall outside of the Taco Bell parking lot. Both drivers failed their Field Sobriety Testing and were arrested.
Honestly, even while sober I don’t think I can pass the field sobriety test 😂
Totally agree. I’ve tried it while sober and I still fail. I don’t know why this is still even admissible.

Never do a sobriety test other than blow into the meter. Field sobriety testing is done for the officers to build evidence not determine whether they are going to arrest you or not. You have a constitutional right to refuse the field sobriety test and your refusal cannot be used against you. In California you are only required to do a blood or breath test. Choose blood if you may have some alcohol in your system. Choose breath if you know you have no alcohol in your system.

I got a dui in 2017 , best thing that could of happened to me . Never again have a I got behind the wheel intoxicated. I’m fortunate I never killed anyone or myself. It shocks me when people talk about having multiple dui , I be like “damn you really haven’t learn your lesson huh “ . One dui is all it took for me to change.

Never ever do sobriety test they’re meant to be failed. If your not drunk or haven’t been drinking then ask for a blood draw but never give Consent to a sobriety test. They are meant to be failed.

Don't you have breath testing kits in the USA, i.e. blow into an instrument which measures the alcohol content and shows the result on screen, with a confirmation test taken on a more accurate instrument at the police station?
not that I know of. I have never heard of or seen any citizens or bars with them. I have been thinking about that for years. There should be something that the citizens can get to test them selves before they drive. This would be a really good thing to have. It would give people any idea of what it takes to get them to the BAC limit. It would save people from a lot of agony and tickets etc. If you go out and party then end up having the cops do it, it is probably too late. There are some on Amazon. Some cheap and some more expensive. Either way it will be totally worth it.

Read up on the field sobriety tests and how they work, and you'll realize these two failed the tests even though they didn't fall over.

@@afdkj Field sobriety tests aren't used to prove guilt; that's what the breathalyzer or blood test are for. Police use field sobriety tests to build probable cause for arrest so the real evidence they obtain down at the station won't be thrown out on a technicality.
