Hello, I would say its about good idea to have it, but if you really want to take the risk you can try and use a return ticket as proof of onward travel. Also go and check with you’re local hospital or doctor how much a health examination for a Australian visa will cost and make sure you can definitely afford that. They don’t tell you until you’ve paid for the visa if you require one or not so be prepared to pay that.

This way you can gather lots of other peoples opinions. As for farms, some contractors will take you to the farms but if you want to earn more money you probably want to avoid contractors all together. In my opinion it is always best to have your own car as you will have a better access to jobs and a way out if things go sour. Some farmers, especially ones in the outback, will offer accommodation at the farm. Hope this helps
