Like many songs this sounds more complicated than it actually is, not that it is easy by any means but when you see the tab that’s all you need to learn a song. That and a metronome, slow it down until you can play it perfectly and then just gradually speed it up. Great work man!
Thank you! I just picked up the bass (after 13 years of guitar) and this was the first thing I had to learn. Got that riff in the beginning down cuz of you. Thank you!!
I spent about 20 minutes working on the first few measures, mimicking your pick and pop technique, thinking it was important to how the song is played. Then I went and watched the original video and realized Clay isn't using a pick, just slap and pop. When I tried it without the pick, it just felt way more natural and easier to play. Just my two cents. This is a great cover, it sounds so good. I'm gonna keep working at it!
Thank you Mitsuru! For me this cover is the best in RUclips, and helped me tremendously to learn the song and techniques. Btw, I noticed that although the song is in 4/4, your transcription represents it in 2/4. Was this on purpose? It's still understandable, and helps to focus more on each sub-section. I'm asking out of curiosity. All the best.
After 1 year of practicing I have finally learned the song
😭😭😭😭
good job bro
dude you are so cool

Yes, the original song used slap. But Clay is using the pick and pop modified pick style nowadays.
