Last year, due to health considerations, I didn't get my plants in the ground until June. Thankfully, I live in zone 6, so I have a long enough growing season that I was still able to have a good harvest of tomatoes and even was able to freeze some for use this winter.

Great reminders! And, although I dream of one day having a greenhouse, I echo what you said that one is not necessary for starting seeds! I've been starting mine inside for many years, and last year was the first year that my entire garden was started from seed, without needing to purchase replacement plants from a nursery. That was a huge accomplishment for me, and I'm hoping to be able to do that again this year! One thing I would add to the items to check is the viability of seeds, if people have older seeds. For those who don't know how to do that, put several seeds inside a paper towel, spray with water, and place in a ziplock bag. If they sprout, you'll know the seeds are good to plant. I learned this from Luke at Migardener last year.

You're so right about having an organized space and how it helps to have a clean area to work in. Personally, that also clears up the space in my head so I will really want to start seeds. Otherwise, I just keep watching videos of other people starting their seeds instead of doing it myself 😇 🙈

Lol! I have a 15+ year old mama cat 🐈 that took up residence in my greenhouse last fall. I did not have the heart to put her out when it was time to close the greenhouse up for the winter 🥶. So my sweet tender hearted husband bought a kitty/doggie door and installed it. Now my problem is, it’s time to clean out and get ready to start seeds and I have 1-3 kitties that think it’s their home. I told John he needed to buy another kitty door and install it in one of the other sheds and move mama over there. The things I do for my fur babies.
    Blessings y’all

I'm in south-central Indiana and I always start some seeds in 'poor man's greenhouses' ( milk jugs and other containers) this time of year. Then, in late February, and early March I start seeds in trays Under grow lights and heat mats. I try to garden all year round ( also grow fall crops ). I am a gardening addict lol. Hopefully gonna have a 'true' greenhouse this year 🙏 loving your inspiring videos

Because of you I have bought zinnas.. delilahs... and I am in love. I planted them way to late but they bloomed way late too. I couldn't believe how long the zinnas bloomed. And they produce so many flowers on one plant.. I've never planted flowers except for marigolds to keep the bugs away. I wont be doing a garden this year. It was something my husband and I loved to do together. He committed suicide in june last year and it just wont be the same. But I hope your new farm brings you many blessings. Keep hoping and keep dreaming. 😊😊

You should build a cute little storage shed off to the side of that window green house in the corner of the garden to store your supplies. The heat and UV in the greenhouse will weaken and destroy plastic stuff fast.

Hey y'all, Jill look at the door that will not close. There is a threshold plate with a couple screws you may need to screw a few of them down to allow the door to close. The plate sneaks up over time. I love how you are showing folks what making, having and using greenhouse of garden checklist. I see frost on the window and snow on the ground and thermometer that says 28 F today It helps me put my brakes on. I have started herbs indoors in my new closet seeding and seedling transplantation. Shelves reflective on the walls and grow lights. I'm excited for 2022 garden!!

Can you start and keep seeds in an ingested greenhouse? I’m in zone 7a so similar climate as you. Or would I have to bring the seeds in every night?

I recommend getting a ceramic heater with a thermostat or your electric bill will sky rocket.

Is there someone across the road watching you from behind a tree ?? Just a bit worried is all. You can see him / it in the first 3 minutes.

Sharpies aren’t good. They fade. Paint pens and grease pencils are the way to go.

I'm making my husband cleam my greenhouse for me. Rats got in for the first time in 16 years. It's disgusting.I told him it needs to be done by the end of the month
