For me theres a few things us change. I absolutely always take 2 level 4's and a Gorebull. Gor go in a unit of 16 with the Gorebull (heavy armour, dragon slaying sword, slugskin) Level 4 number 1 is a general, lore familiar, dark magic. And he goes in the gor unit. Level 4 number 2 gets hagtree and a skin of man, pelt of midnight (he scouts somewhere very annoying and viletrees whatever he likes, I'm also looking to windblast stuff off the board) The rest of core is chariots, razorgor, and some dogs. Dragon ogres are great. They are a staple in the list. Shaggoth with blackened plate and great weapon is tasty and synergises with the drogres. If I was running a vitriolic BSB and a beastlord I'd be ambushing the BSB in a fat unit of ungor bowmen (probably 40 or so) imagine, 25 poisoned shots coming in on any board edge. I'd be backing that with centigor with a totem of rust (as far away from my drogres and chariots as subhumanly possible)
I like it but I find your lack of chariots disturbing 😅 Mangelder/slug skin is goated! Add the -1 ld banner and gathering darkness spell can be a real nightmare 🙂 And i dont hate on the cygor at all. On paper its poor bit the long range threat it gives us is wat stronger than the profile alone. Having something that can reach out and pressure your opponant to advance on you is worth it's weight, else they could castle up and range 🙂 cool list... i might be tempted to run he drogers in 3 untis of 2 though. 1 extra chance to succeed a charge 😅
Id swap the war banner for the manbane standard to gain another -1 to enemy leadership fighting the beastlord (with the mangelder) and the bestigors. So with terror included, that would be a -3, assuming the lord causes a wound or two...
@@jtrain9926 To get the terror though you're already buying the Mangelder, so if you do that wound in combat and win, it's a -3.... But I quite like the Beastlord on a chariot too! All those wounds, the unit strength to gain close order and flank/rear combat bonus, the mobility, impact hits, ect... I often run two chariots with characters, my level 4 great bray shaman, and my Beastlord.... And then once you start rolling on that Gaze of the Gods table things can get spicy! So, you are talking about putting the BSB on a chariot though? As that's the only way to get a banner on a chariot... You'd still have to give him the Mangelder for terror though.
@@ValhallanFieldMarshalRobert yeah I think optimal is the BSB on chariot with mangelder and warbanner, if only because that static +3 combat rez is nice to counteract rank bonuses and make sure you more reliably win combat. Also I generally see people use the elementalism hagtree machine gun chariot bray shaman, but I think people are sleeping on the Daemonology chariot brayshaman's ability to be a combat monster. With the spell to lower Ld, lower enemy toughness, +1A(really +4 from the razorgor and 3 riders) at -1AP, Mantle of Gortok signature spell for a potential +5A and +5S, and the fact the braystaff counts as a great weapon. That's one model with potentially 25 attacks counting impact hits! Possibly with 8 strength 10 AP-3 attacks, if you can line it all up, that could basically one shot any unit in the game, and the cherry on top is that chariots are immune from killing blow and monsterslayer.
Yes!! The immune to killing blow and monster slayer on chariots is something I've been thinking about a lot lately! I like your thinking!! Also, there's Gaze of the Gods too! So that adds even more potential for bonuses!! I am always a fan of daemonology magic too. And ambush isn't even super necessary either, I think... Although, I don't leave home without my "chariot runner" ungors to be the first wave in front of my chariots! They are dirt cheap, core, and can have short bows too, which is nice for small skirmishing units. Chariot runners are amazing good tactically! They don't block LOS, they don't restrict movement, and they don't hinder charges. For us Beastmen players. But for the enemy, they do all of those things and more...
You should try out some chariot spam, and 4 wide dragon ogre units. Also Beastmen have the best chaff in the game, that can punch up and actually be dangerous with Primal Fury; dogs, harpies, lone razorgors and Dragon Ogre shartaks; and that's before mentioning small skirmisher units of gor or ungor(Chariot Runners is amazing!) The classic BrayShaman magic machinegun on chariot massively increases his survivability, mobility, and allows him to fire at will behind a screen of ungor without fear of charges or return fire. Centigors are also an honorable mention for their incredible mobility, versatility, and who make the absolute best ambushers.
@@HS-gr9jf I'd go cheap on them to spend the points elsewhere, but it's dealers choice on how valuable you think BS3 plink damage is. They might be able to to stand and shoot some dogs or cause a couple wounds here and there, but they exist mostly as a throw away unit protecting more valuable assets than as any kind of reliable damage dealer.
@@gordmckay How so? I think you are underestimating them. they are a movement 8 skirmishing fast cav unit with a 360 charge arc that can fight in 2 ranks with S5 AP-1 attacks on the charge with cavalry spears, stomp attacks, and two ways to access frenzy for free. Also they have ranged weapons for harassment + stand and shoot. They can put out ALOT of good quality attacks, and easily get into position for flank and rear charges with free reforms, and can simply march out of the charge arcs of units they don't want to face head on. They are squishy, but have the mobility to only take the fights they want, immediately pressuring the back line. A 10+ strong unit can reasonably clear the front/side rank of all but the hardest combat blocks or crush chaff and warmachines on the charge. Add in a Warhoof and they can be very dangerous, especially in dual charges with your other hard hitting units.
@@nklinef If you can target high value T3 things with Ungor they can surprise with 10 shots on 4+s and 4+s. There are lots of things that would prefer not to make 2.5 saves a turn. 50pts to trade up into stuff like Knights of the Realm and really keep your opponent's wizard positioning honest. I love 3 units of 10 just for a lil bit of ranged threat projection. But absolutely they're main job is to pull threat from things worth many times their points.

You're missing the best unit in the army, 3 single units of the mighty Razorgor is where every beastmen list should start. They're incredible.
Nice! I have most of these models. Looking forward to seeing how the list does. I love that it’s not a million minis. Thanks for the upload

Awesome, love the muted earthy theme the army has, really cool stuff!
I think fleeing from a beast lord with a “man gelder” is a very fair reaction.
I read "my BASEMENT army" 😂

Bestigor aren’t worth the points, just use gor instead
Love the mangelder but hard to justify with foe render for free
No chariots no razorgors and using worstigors with cygor sure is something
Beastmen are overpowered. Half of the Empire roster of units is underpowered. Ned a rules update to get some balance TBH
I thought the fact that ToW was a 'complete' game that won't be getting rules updates was a selling point...
