    These vids are invaluable.
    @ 4:29 Cool RPK.
I'd bet that young man loved that rifle?
-For What Its Worth: Years back I'd had a Norinco NHM 91 in 7.62 x 39 flavor. One of a small handful of rifles that I regret selling.
-That 20" barrel length & heavy profile did wonders for accuracy on target. If it were to have had an aftermarket ALG AK Trigger in it & such would be quite a slaptacularly accurate rifle even in 7.62 that tends to drop like a rock after 300-350 yards.
-In 5.45 caliber, a 20"/23.5" barrel would be even flatter shooting. Although the 5.45 cartridge was originally optimized for 16" barrel lengths.
-Maybe squeeze even more velocity outtve standard 53-60 grain 5.45 projectiles using differing propellant recipes? But thats a long & fairly involved process to find the best bullet weight, powder type & propellant charge weights for the specific rifle platforms best accuracy node &/or tasked usage(s).
-Ive got 5.45 reloading dies, 5.45 copper jacketed projectiles, brass cases & a few assorted powder recipes for hand-reloading brass-cased, boxer primed, 5.45x39 for my Adams Arms 10.5" barrel Piston operated, 5.45 AR15 pistol & my 16" barreled 5.45 AR15 Carbine, the latter of which, I just installed a new Geissele trigger in a few hours back.
Bandit'd trigger made it all the way through the 'Illegal' arms/rifle accessories embargo-blockade up here in WA State!...HeeHeeHee..(They, our fearless leaders in our WA state Govt assembly, ding'd up our gun laws here a few years back, and quite badly @ that)
Both of the 5.45 AR's I'd built myself from component parts. Only purchasing the AA's 10/5 5.45 Upper, but I'd heavily mod'd & rebuilt that specific upper to my liking (Legally viewed as a 'pistol' here in the U.S, anything under 16" inch, or as a 14.5 barrel lengths with a welded & pinned muzzle device, But such can posses a similar 'Brace' without a Govt Bribe/200$ Tax Stamp for fully stocked SBR/Short Barreled Rifle classification. So one can then install a 'Real Stock' & need to ask for permission from the ATF/County authorities to travel outtve state or county with said firearm, which they can deny for any reason)
I use 'Gear-Head Works' wares for my pistol(s) brace needs. Well made, stout stuff. Shit, I'd run GHW's braces on all my other AR carbines & rifles too if needed.
-Humorously, my last remaining AK platform I own, being a 10' barreled, 5.56 cal Zastava M85NP Pistol that accepts AR15 magazines! I know, BRASS running in an AK?! -No, Im not the least bit embarrassed...;)
-Ive waaaaay too many differing makes n' models of varying clipazines, to go with, or buy, another pattern/type.
-Drilled, tap'd, screwed, epoxied a small section of picaninny rail on the M85NP's rear sight base/pivoting dust cover. Enough steel-meat present there to do so. Hand drill/common tools used for all mods. Holds a red-dot perfectly, but I still prefer regular old iron sights.
-Installed a 2.5 Lb, ALG Trigger & much better/easier hammer/trigger pin retaining plate. Works great for 8 years so far.
-Purchased, then fabri-cobbled a 'U.S MG' folding stock/brace onto the back of the pistol for GHW's brace. Drilled & Installed shim/Drilled back of receiver to accept USMG folding mechanism. Its been stout for 8 years so far with only one slight re-tightening episode over thousands of 5.56 rounds fired.
-Installed two small sections of rail on original wood AKSU type foregrip for a flashlight & attached hot-button.
-But heres the THE BEST brain-baby part: Designed, then cut/fabricated a left side/right thumb activated safety switch, Center punched, then Drilled out left side barrel of the original AK safety, then tap'd that.
-Then silver-soldered (85+ thousand PSI rated solder)
-Used the/a same thread pitch fastener post to the lever arrangement onto a small acorn nut that retains thumb switch with the silver solder.
-Thread that in the safety's hole, then epoxied the interchange to see how stout it might be. Epoxied it so as to facilitate the total removal of the safety assembly for poss future trigger &/or receiver work. Been a 2-3 years worth of many, many, many, left side safety throw cycles. And not being easy on it either.
-One needs to carefully file, modify & adjust the safety latch's inside dimple that engages with the receivers safety/fire notches, for retaining safe function, yet still easier throw of the lever itself.
-Its designed so upon pushing the left side thumb lever forward, it then activates & closes up^ the safety latch on the AK's right side, so if you take a stumble, or fall, if the safety selector is on fire, ones thumb, upon falling, will usually push forward & close it up & make the weapon safe, provided ones finger isnt already on the trigger itself.
-You simply pull back your thumb to drop safety, then fire. Pretty short overall throw too. 3/4's of an inch arc of a throw between fire & safe.
    ~LOVE IT.
Hey, if this Ding-Dong can do it w/regular, common, flat-stock, garage tools, files n' dremel tools, I dont know why any commercial aftermarket versions arent offered here in the states, aside from Stock Polish Tantals?!
Ive come up with 3-4 differing designs for such so far. My 1st initial prototype for the left side safety worked out just fine with no others made. Ive got a spare AK safety latch I might play with as to a differing lock-up design?
-Good thing I dont possess a machine shop eh?..Ha!
Guy like me might get in trouble!
Thanks you's again for posting these videos.
