Autobahn A40: Stilllegung (closure of German autobahn) Storey's Stories by Schahin

GREAT: 1000s of people walking, cycling, etc. on the German autobahn: A40. This exciting, interesting & unique cultural event was organized by 'Ruhr.2010 Kulturhauptstadt Europas'. The autobahn was closed 18th July, 2010 from 11 am - 5 pm. The public enjoyed 6 hours of fun and entertainment on the A40 togethter with lots of German celebreties.
This clip is perfect for students who are learning German (upper intermediate to advanced learners). You will learn - amongst other things - something about the German culture in the 'Ruhrarea' (Ruhrgebiet) in North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition, you will hear lots of typical German proverbs and phrases in the narration. Even if you don't understand German, yoy will definitely enjoy this clip. Have fun!
