    If you're under the influence of Marijuana, it doesn't mean you have to have the dosage of someone at home relaxing. A few tokes before a workout can really allow you to focus, and the high can also be incredible. From my experience

      1 or 2 is perfect. If I smoke a gram or more I’m slumped for 2-3 hours.

      Id have to agree. I get pumped when I smoke before a workout, my focus is on point. I feel like I hit each rep perfectly. I also feel like I can do my last 2 to 3 reps with ease.

    My take: It doesn’t help or hurt. Some workouts while I was high were amazing, others not so great. Some workouts while sober are amazing, others not so great. What matters is that I showed up, did what I needed to do, and got it in 💪🏽

      Yeah people tend to overthink it. You dont need to get high to get a good pump. Although smoking helped motivate me to go to the gym, I wouldnt say it had any impact on my performance.

    I love working out high, makes me laser focused on each muscle, almost feels mechanical. Only problem is that the mix with caffeine might make you socially anxious from my experience.

      I feel the same, when I train high I can hit my back in some especially areas, I can't do that when I'm sober, is like I can create a better mind muscle connection

    I am a animal when I smoke and work out, I just zone in so much on each muscle, the mind muscle connection is crazy

    ThC + caffeine + L Theanine while doing steady state cardio by the beach or the bay is amazing! I usually use full spectrum CBD oil (lazuras brand) 4 to 5 hours after resistance training. Helps with any pain.

    Dosage is everything. Smoke something mild, or just a little bit of something stronger and it really helps focus. It also allows me to train for way longer, i don't know why i'm just in no rush to leave the gym.

    Cannabis has definitely helped improved my core stability and overall mind muscle connection. As others have mentioned in the comment section. Your not consuming the same as if your trying to relax. Just a couple of hits or what I do is microdose and it did wonders for helping me improve my core stability.

    I love the pace of working out when im high as other people on this post have said it made me laser focus. My form is better high and the muscle to mind connection is on point. Especially my squats and deadlifts.

    I do it every day, helps with soreness a lot.. Once the caffeine and creatine kicks in, the high goes away.

      The creatine doesn't "kick" in lol. If you're taking it as you should, 5Gs a day, your body simply has its replenished dose per day. It doesn't work like a stimulant lol. You're maybe thinking of a pre-workout..?

      @@FartCakes It's sort of like a stimulant because when I used to take 10G's per day my heart would beat a lot faster during the night, cut back to 5G's and it doesn't happen anymore.

    I am slightly over weight. I tried to run on the treadmill for the first time in several years. I was getting cramps and wearing out so quickly. When I was younger I used to live on a ranch and was always high as a teen because of this right when I would want to give up sprinting on my bike I would push myself even more. I recently went again to the treadmill this time a little high I felt like I was able to go much longer without giving up. I ran 1.8 with very minor breaks. For not running in over 4 years I think this was a huge improvement.

    Weed is fine for cardio and mobility training. But definitley sucks for heavy weight training and plyometric explosive training.

    Getting in a state of flow isn’t a bad thing lifting, also disagree that you can’t make strength gains high or lift heavy high. If you wanna be 100% alert lifting, you would want to be sober in Jiu Jitsu too lol. But there’s something bout getting in the zone in competitive sports before the game

    When I lift stoned I don't notice much difference in strength but I also have been smoking weed for years. I usually smoke a little right before I drink my pre workout lol

    Great vid. As an avid cannabis consumer(at least 2.8 grams flower a day and .5 of hash a day), I hate to smoke before workouts. More of a recovery supplement for afterwards for me. But if it works for you it works for you

    For me... just one puff or 2 puffs with like 10mins in between is on with me. I do feel a different sensation with a pump. It makes me continue instead of quitting because it feels kinda good. I haven't tried it on a heavy day. But after working 10hrs on a warehouse, smoke and have a snack and then workout. It makes me want to do it because I'm happy and feeling good. And then come home and buss one lol.... bussin is great when you're impaired lol

    Im a muay thai practioner and Ive found that i spar better high because im more cautious and alert, really helps to keep things playful too.

    Getting high before my workouts has been a game changer for me! I get a way better pump, and feel like I’m stronger and can last longer. My only downfall would be is that I get very antisocial. It’s hard to focus on what someone’s trying to tell me, while focused on my work out. I get stuck lol

    I got high and went to a gym for the first time ever and hit three personal bests after 5 years of training and on a day where I was just coming back after time off. When I’m high I’m able to push much further past failure

    For myself, as a prior collegiate football player D1 and D1AA on defense, after I finished playing a roommate of mine ( a transfer from another school) got me into lifting heavy and smoking before. I will say I was able to reach the peak of my strength with this method. That being said I was 22, had a consistent workout partner who supplied the workouts and pushed us every time. What I'm getting at is, I think it's a combination of environment, conditions and temperament. Since that time I still smoke pre workout from time to time. I've never been able to replicate those kinds of results again on my own and I've tried too. As far as mobility/fluidity, you all are spot on. On superset days, with little to no rest between each set, it's a game changer for me personally.

    I've lifted while being high and did not enjoy it at all. I just felt down and didn't want to workout, but bodyweight and cardio was fun. 👍 Especially mixed with pre workout, lol

    Before COVID, I used to smoke a blunt on the way to the gym almost everyday. I broke my best PRs while I was baked. Weed affects everyone differently. Getting high doesn't make you lazy. It just makes already lazy people more lazy.

    I go in and out with it, like I used to do with pre workouts. I would much rather cycle weed than a pre imo. Listen to the body and try to tune in to when its time to cycle off or on. Like the effectiveness, energy levels etc..the strain is important too, tough to lift on a heavy eye indica. Especially legs lol

    Yeah I feel like the mind to muscle is great while somewhat stoned (1-3 drags), when i train lighter i prefer being high but whenever i go heavy i'm sober.

    I have smoked weed while at the gym in the past but now I vaporise cannabis with a mighty+ and that helps me heaps better for oxygenflow and blood flow. Consuming Cannabis while working out can be effective and even better than sober, when you are stoned your mind muscle connection for correct form is similar to psilocybin mushrooms when at the gym and trying to visualise the muscle and movement.
    I had my bloods tested months back after smoking copius amounts of cannabis for 5-7 years and my estrogen was through the ground low on the range and my testosterone/free test was mid range. Human consumption of cannabis doesn't interrupt hormones in everyone. Also it helps me when I train high for maximum blood flow and Ability to have 3-5 mins of rest time pass like 30 seconds before the next set in-between sets.
    Also appetite and food consumption can go both ways as cannabis is a a wide variety of strains which SOME MAKE YOU HUNGRY AND SOME SUPPRESS YOUR APPETITE. Not all weed will make you hungry, some strains have the opposite effect.

    You guys never mentioned anything about the strain of weed smoked before workouts. The Sativa strain is the male plant that provides a up tempo high that helps me with energy levels. Indica strain is the female strain that helps with relaxation. All weed is not the same…for us smokers 😅

    Im 24/7 high on weed… i train 4/5 times a week. 0 trouble from smoking weed. Only thing is if you smoke to much it kills your hunger

    Everyone is different.. im bigger and stronger then most at the gym, been natty all my life, and ive smoked mj almost every workout for probably the last 4 years at least.. one thing it definitely does is make me lazier at the gym. Workouts without weed are definitely more intense.. but the weed is so calming, and allows me to focus more.

    I'm almost 46. I've been there done that for 25 yrs . For 20 of those yrs I've been high. Don't underestimate the power of weed, it will put the hurt in another realm. It is amazing.

    Weed seems to effect everyone differently. Personally, I have a huge boost in focus and endurance when i'm stoned and get an insane mind-muscle connection. My confidence goes through the roof and always hit my last reps. But that's just me. My sober lifts by comparison are total dogshit. As a long-time smoker, my inability to get that sort of pump from alternative pre-workouts is one of the main things that keeps me from quitting.

    Been using for 15ish years, I used to run, ride my bike, lift, all of the above stoned. I don’t advocate it for any real gains, I would never do any kind of running speed work under the influence. I keep it strictly for after any kind of post workout.

    I love working out high.
    I do it once a week on my heaviest/most intense day.
    It keeps me from feeling nauseous and helps me really focus on the form.
    But this is only my experience. I can't say the same for my friends.

    Decided to test how it would actually affect my max efforts in pushups and pullups. I usually max out at 60 weighted backpack pushups within a 4 min time limit. Yesterday with some pre-puffs I got 63
    Am also stuck a pull up max plateau of 16. Today after my pre-puffs I got....drum roll please....16 again, lol

    If it means you don't drink alcohol that would surely be a benefit. If you are trying to relax after a workout with a joint vs a couple glasses of whiskey.

    I think it depends how much u smoke i smoke like 3 joints a night workout after 1 or 2 get great results also very productive in my work and family life but i hardly drink alcohol i found drinking daily kills my motivation and made me dumb also had poor results with my body , but yeah each to there own and dont let it take over your life that the first thing you do is get high wait till the afternoon and you will enjoy it more and teach your self control this is coming from a daily smoker for 23+ years since i was 14 i have brakes from time to time for a week or a month just to keep my self in check, but more then anything smoking herb just makes me happy do what you love

    Been smoking for yrs and I just started working out after being over weight. I cut the sugars and drink nothing but water. Lost alot of fat and then I started lifting. It's been almost 2 months and I have lots of gain. I'm naturally full of testosterone and the bud calms me down. But I noticed I get fast healing and my gains shows.

    When I smoke weed before a workout and play my favorite music my workouts are far more intense and mind to muscle is incredible. I also do extra variety of workout movements and body parts as well however I do find my muscle hurt far more the next day because of the workout intensity. I am trying to gain weight so the munchies are an added bonus.

    I think it depends on the strain. I have taken some strains that just don’t work well with working out and other strains that I hit a new p.r’s and I am super focus and lock in. Definitely depends on strain, at least 4 me

    He’s completely right and you can not be taking something that causes estrogen and you smoke that causes estrogen too your just adding more estrogen I have physical studied this on myself for my own experiences weed with anabolics don’t make a smart combination and u need to control ur self with supplements and vitamins cuz side effects aren’t a joke to play with if it’s hard for you make money if that’s usually a issue but people do wat they want I won’t do it I hav n didn’t realize but I known now

    Contractions feel ridiculous while high and the focus is intense, obviously you can’t trained if you’re absolutely BAKED. But slightly high, it’s not bad guess it depends on the person though.

    For years I've trained with a buzz. It made me go to a positive state of mind. I done do that now after relocating and adjusting to a new gym. I did mention in a post recently how posing and flexing with a weed buzz seem to make it easier. I've been a competitive natural bodybuilding for years! 💪mrwtby

      It can gives you such sharp internal awareness of your energy flow I bet it does make it easier to flex specific muscles. One time I decided to randomly learn how to move only my pinkie toe independently of my other toes because it allowed to focus on and feel that specific nerve with laser like precision

    I sometimes get high before working out, but mostly after for pain and recovery. I have tried Sativa before a workout, like two hit and I can say it helped with workout big time. Weed affect people differently so in reality you just got to try.. Blaze it 😊

    For me if i smoke certain sativa strains on chest day i have the best workouts ever. Leg day however is hell, try doing squats while stoned.

    Despite the benefits of marijuana, heavy lifting should be avoided while high. The gym equipment can injure you if you aren't careful. Especially because you may not be alert.

    People talking about something they’ve never done or experienced. It doesn’t make you take longer rest periods if anything it might make you hope back in too fast.
    You guys are acting like it’s a depressant. Your body literally makes endogenous cannabinoids when you work out because guess what; it helps your stamina and recovery. Also it doesn’t diminish focus it enhances focus but you have to have the ability to control what you’re focusing on. If you actually live stoning and you actually love fitness then all it does it make your experience more enjoyable. It’s not alcohol.
    What you guys are describing is more like what phenibut or gabapentin will do to your workout

    If you smoke a blunt to the face before you hit the gym sure you’re explosiveness is going to be dulled but not if you take a toke or 2 to calm the mind. I’ve also found I’m much more conscious about bracing and proper breathing

    The only issue I have with weed is how it messes with my sleep, even if I use indica strains, I don’t get deep REM sleep at all.

    So this is really ironic because I've been doing this for about two weeks now. I always go and smoke before bed and I usually take about a half an hour. I am a pretty damn experience powerlifters and we don't really do arms directly, so I've decided to start doing curls every other day And smoking first while I am training and I could ignore the lactic acid almost completely and work absolute muscle failure if I chose to. I definitely see some advantages to it, but if I was doing heavy compound lifts, I don't think I'd smoke at all.

    I can run when I’m high, I just don’t like to. Feel less connected to my body, and it also feels like it takes longer to get anywhere, which is cool if I’m just doing a fun run on trails, but if I’m trying to get a scheduled long run in, it feels like it takes longer, and my perceived exertion feels different which throws me off. If I’m running close to bedtime, I’ll take a cannabis gummy before I go, and it usually starts to kick in towards the end of the run, then I get home and am already relaxed and winding down, and can quickly transition to bed. If I run close to bedtime and don’t take a gummy, I’ll sit up and watch tv all night like a crack head, wired from the run

    Sometimes an edible for me is nice before a lift. But I won’t smoke or take a dab before. I gave up drinking a while ago and kind of replaced it with marijuana. Much healthier

    If I’m doing some corrective stuff or mobility, then I will use a little. I feel it significantly enhances my mind body connection. I usually take 1 hit of a J, nothing more or I get lazy and all the other effects.

    I take edibles as a stress reliver after I am done with my homework and sometimes before and it gets me more focused and after as well. I also like taking it when I sleep. It is good to step away from it through and not let it ruin your brain. You have to be consistent with anything now in days. Never too much

    I cant do it, but I smoke after my workout..protein shake then LIGHT UP

      Dude exactly. Smoking after a workout feels so much better because its like you worked for it. When i work out high i dont have as much strength as i do when im sober so its hard to progress when im high while training but everyone is different

      @@Sam-ni6bc You do have as much strength. There is no way the marjuana reduces strength, the muscle fibres are still there.

    I’ve been smoking marijuana daily for about 10 years and I can say in the begging when my tolerance wasn’t as high I couldn’t weight train at all for my life to depend on it my muscles were to relaxed all my strength seem to be depleted after smoking but fast forward to now I’ll roll something up on my way to gym gyms like 5 min from my house by the time I get their I smoked maybe half of it it or sometimes a quarter I’ll put it out and then work out almost feels like I get in that flow state now I’m able to lift heavy focus on the contraction of my muscles and the squeeze in each rep vs when I’m sober I don’t feel as in tune with the contractions of my muscles while lifting probably depends on your tolerance levels if your heavy smoker like me probably doesn’t effect you much on weight training

    I like to lift high. It locks me in to my workout like no preworkout can. The peak combination is taking your pre with a blunt lol. You get the pros of the pre and the focus and relaxed itching due the marijuana

    Some don’t need to smoke a gram at a time, unless you’re having a good time, a push or hit is fine from what I’ve experienced

    Actually man whom smoke regularly have higher t levels. I smoke a lot daily and have for a while. When they checked my testosterone they asked off I was injection testosterone…no just smoking weed. Sometimes I smoke prior to my workout, I enjoy my workouts and get good workouts either way!
