DR🇩🇴 is the country that will grow the most economically in all of Latin America in 2024 according to the new report from Cepal (Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe) in English "Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean"
While I understand that clothes shopping may have some gaps in the DR, it is unfortunate that the Dominican is letting H& M into the country. They are one of the largest waste producers in regards to their “ recycling of clothes” policy. Their clothing travels to countries like Ghana and Benin where over 314 kilos, or 700,000 pounds ends up being dumped. Let’s all hope this doesn’t contribute to the garbage that will surely be accumulated there as well.
Oh my god that’s awful… I was unaware of this information… I hope the regulatory bodies do their due diligence and ensuring people operate in an ethical fashion
