Quite endearing to see a Kannada movie review in English, this makes it approachable to viewers across various demographics. I wish others would follow suit, since we complain about the lack of representation at the global stage. Thanks for the review, I know what to look out for this weekend 📽
Every frame in the movie is colourful, you may not get the theatrical experience in OTT ,yes there is no special in story,in current situation of Sandalwood this movie has come as breeze.
Fair enough. I just feel like beautiful frames aren't enough for a good film. Writing is most important element and of course all other cinematic elements too but I understand what you mean and it's a fair point :)
Funniest thing you said is writing is not good. I mean do you really know what writing is? Anyways, at least you mentioned that it's your opinion. Well in my opinion, writing is very poetic and new to the industry. Not every film maker dares to attempt it. And movie will be definitely loved by the audience who loved "swathi muttina male haniye" recommended by the so called critic. Because both have the similar poetic experience. I don't know what made the reviewer call them as different genre movies. Shout-out to the director and the entire technical team for their efforts and giving us a beautiful cinema.
I did not attend a poetry recital. I went to see a film. Writing needs to bring the story and character arc together not just be pretty. A mix of Jab we met, lootera, love aaj Kal, ae dil hai mushkil and how I met your mother based on a story by O.Henry doesn't automatically make it a good film. As a critic I must call out the faults that a regular audience member may not notice. Also over clearly said my film recommendation is for a film of a similar theme. Thank you for your comment 🙏🏼
To be fair, SMMH is a far superior product in terms of writing. It has simplicity and subtlty to it's poetic qualities and Raj really trimmed the fat - every scene was there for a reason. The scene where the two leads meet didn't even need a real background score or a cinematic visual treatment and yet it was so refreshing. I don't necessarily agree with everything in the review but I can understand why she felt that way.
With advent of OTT, it is an extra concern for film makers, which many struggle to comprehend, that story should be tight enough to pull people to theatres. generally, first viewers are a big publicity element, but if the opinion from them is, "can be watched on OTT", it is less likely to work in theatres.
"sid being the son of a successful businessman, khud successful nahi ho pa raha tha, silly and flimsy lag raha tha". I wonder what kind of people feel that struggles of life are silly !! Maybe the ones who try to be 'Forced Critic' 'Forced Cinema Intellect'..
He was selling stuff at 20₹. Then went to build an entire vineyard without any construction experience and without cross checking who the land belonged to. At this point the writing isn't strong enough for me to go along with the director's vision and simply believe in this story line. Anyway thanks for your comment 🙏🏼
Where to watch this movie

I try to do in hindi and English so more people get it and watch it 😅
Vihaan Gowda is not new to the industry. He has already done two films I think.
Kaal kg Preeti and panchatantra yes. But fairly new cast and crew. Thank you though for correcting :)
nice

Thankyou. I felt like that film had beautiful writing and performances along with the way it was shot. It was a compelling piece of art.
