    Made this one on an Ender 3 V2, 0.08mm layers with a .4 mm nozzle, tonight i will change to a .2 nozzle, some of my minis are definetly going to benefit from this, i dont mind it take longer.

    Would you be willing to to share your setting for 0.2mm I’ve been trying to calibrate it for that but I’m very new to 3d printing there’s not any slicers that support the ke and Creality as you know doesn’t have a setting for it so I’m stressing aha

      I use an elegoo, but there was a really good videos on fdm miniatures with some great recommendations. I print with a .2mm nozzle or a .3mm nozzle, .08mm layer height, 9999 top layers, 0 bottom layers(apparently in cura that tricks it into printing each layer cleanly like a top layer) and I print them at under 40mm, usually 20-30mm/s

    Crosslink, im new to printing, but it is indeed my newest obsession. I considered getting a smaller nozzle to do miniatures this exact same way, but, I did not know, do I need any other parts other than the nozzle? also: anything I need to consider AFTER i switch out the nozzle? change nozzle size in cura for starters i guess

    Since the Creality Klipper software doesn't yet support a 0.2mm nozzle, are you using Cura with a different Creality printer selected?
    I'm currently experimenting with my Ender 3 Pro and Fat Dragon Games profiles.
    Would be curious to hear about your method with the V3 KE.

    Can I ask as someone who owns both FDM and Resin printers who doesn’t print figurines or miniatures at all, why you would print them on fdm vs resin?

      You would not, unless you'd had something heavy fall on your head recently.

    So when i get more used to my Ender 3 Neo i am going to buy 0.2mm nozzle. Looks much better. Mine 0.4mm nozzle destroy anything thats smaller in size. For example i have tried to make few keychains, but they get ruined if they have little more detailes. It just starts dragging filament around ruining even parts that are somewhat good. Maybe i should print thin surface and start printing leychain on it, and not directly on bed. Now I'll have to try that 😂😂

    I’m ver new to printing. I have the standard .4mm nozzle.
    In order to get the print quality that you are achieving, I would have to switch out my 4 mm nozzle for 2 mm correct ? And then on top of that I would have to adjust settings I’m assuming

    Hi ! May I ask. What do you recommend to remove the stringing ?

    • @Crosslink3D
      @Crosslink3D  5 месяцев назад +1

      Two possible ways. First try to fix it by printing a stringing tower test and optimize the retract. Second post-printing you use a hairdryer or heatgun to briefly blow over the part to remove the strings.

    What is the speed you print in the ender 3 v3 ke ?

    • @Crosslink3D
      @Crosslink3D  8 месяцев назад

      The minis are printed with 150mm/s and a 0.2mm nozzle for best quality, I would not print faster. Otherwise for bigger prints with high speed PLA, you may go up to 500mm/s.

    What is the layer hight for 0.2 nozzle?

    • @Crosslink3D
      @Crosslink3D  5 месяцев назад

      .08 to 0.1 you can try. 0.08 is tricky with some filaments.

    Yeah, not resin quality. Try printing a more intricate design like Archvillain Games do, and see what happens. FDM is good for army men level of detail and basic poses, if you don't mind that.

    Uhmmm I don't want to sound like a dick but the one printed with .4 doesn't look that good to me. Looks woobly like something on the printer was loose
