Hey great upgrade but should you not put a sleeve between to prevent potential crushing?Also for the design of load on that grade 5 would be better as they handle shear loads better than grade 8.Regardless it's overkill I would just worry of potential loosening due to crushing.A lock washer is only good as long as tension remains constant.Looking for a safe system for our van rear deck for klr or transalp whichever we take.Thanks for the video.

Yep! A sleeve to prevent crushing is a great idea. We will be adding one to our setup. - Kyle
