I sold my susi3 recently, but didn't change to a new light mountain wing yet. My gf has a PI3 (16) which I can fly sometimes. I also tested the Bantam a few times. But still not 100 % sure what I should go for.

I flew the Bantam size 12. It is fun to fly, very nice mini wing characteristics. Also weight, short lines and small size is very nice. It also flares very good for landing. The only downside I figured out so far is that it dives a little bit at take off. So you have to either run a little bit more or be carefully with th obstacles right after launch ;)
I flew the Susi3 in size 13 for ~3 years. I still think it is a awesome very versatile mountain wing. Compared to to Bantam, it lines are slightly longer, weight is slightly more. But I like the take off behaviour of susi more.

@@philipbrugger thanks for the insight! Yeah I have been flying my Susi3 16m also for about 3 years and still just love it. I was also looking at the Bantam, but I think the Susi is maybe a little more versatile? Cheers!
Hey Philip, ich denke auch über einen Bantam 12 nach für anspruchsvolle Hike and Flys, vor allem wegen der besseren Wurfstartfähigkeit im Gegensatz zu der der Singleskins. Wie würdest du sagen schlägt sich der Bantam gleitleistungstechnisch im Vergleich mit den SingleSkins? Ich will jetzt keine Thermik fliegen, aber eben schon aus so manchen Tälern rausfliegen /über den Grat noch kommen, du weißt was ich mein ;) Ich war viel mit dem Dudek Run and Fly unterwegs und da wird es doch immer mal wieder knapp, daher würde mich deine Meinung dazu interessieren. Ah, jetzt weiß ich gleich wer du bist 😅 Eure Videos sehe ich mir auch immer gerne an ;)
Ich muss sagen ich ziehe die normalen Schirme den Single-Skins mittlerweile vor. Das etwas größere Gewicht und Packmaß im Vergleich zum Run&Fly nehme ich gerne in kauf. Dafür ist man viel flexibler was die Startplätze und Bedinungen in der Luft angeht. Die Leistung ist ebenfalls viel besser. Vor allem bei Gegenwind.
Ob jetzt Susi3, Pi3 oder Bantam macht meiner Meinung nach keinen all zu großen Unterschied mehr aus. Ich finde das sind alle drei prefekte hike&fly Schirme.
