CLSK states that the cost to mine a bitcoin is 41k+. They are still making a profilt, along with other big miners.

That depends on the equipment they're using. The older tech requires more power to generate the raw crypto. Some need over $60 000 to break even.
There's only about 2-3 miners who are in the positive, since the halving. Cleanspark, & Riot are among those making a profit, even at these levels.
Those near the bottom have sold virtually all they had stored. They wouldn't do that, if they didn't need to. And, it's also why some are diversifying their operations into AI compute.
Would be nice to know the global average cost to mine a bitcoin at any giving time. @@Ambassador_Gkar

We did hit a downward cross recently that 100 percent of the time in the past we go down 50 percent or more. I think we are headed lower than 50K.

Bottom line - more negatives than positives on the short term/medium term. MtGox BTC owners will sell as they are all sitting on massive profits and have been waiting for a very very long time. Some might sell and buy the ETF. ETF holders will see their values drop with this sell pressure and they might sell too. Unlike in the past, ETF sellers can switch out and buy any other stock as they are no longer on a crypto exchange. All this has to settle for a bottom to form and there are no immediate catalysts. Rate cut in Sept might be a small catalyst but suspect there will be selling at every local top until all this is sorted. Just looking at the BTC price chart, always a spike in price the year or 2 before the halving, then drifts down. So perhaps this time, nothing happens until late 26/early 27 after everyone has forgotten about BTC? Hope I'm wrong. I thought the ETF's would keep prices up due to demand but they can now move from the ETF to any other stock much quicker as well...Someone give me some hope!

@@TheShaolin015 It was at all time high 90B$ 12B past previous ATH, inflation 50%??? where are you getting your research from, 6% this year. Dropping 1.5% every year until it reaches 1% then it will be 1% a year, in a few years time. All the supply is out there now apart from this, which is validator rewards, if you stake you can make far more than the inflation from the vast amounts, and increasing MEV, where users and TXNs are increasing, so is MEV. I get up to 14% apr on Liquid staking sol.

Patrick, you are wrong about this. I've been in since 21. Fumbled around youtube following different channels. Most are influencers pumping and dumping. Most have no real interaction. Most of my highest gains have come from coins that Rob has spoke on. I wish I would have known about DAN years ago.
