Such different ways to interpret the character. In English, at least, a higher male voice suggests more of a comedic role, a deeper voice suggests a more traditionally frightening villain. Tamatoa could go either way. Jemaine Clement struck a perfect balance, going for a baritone, but laid-back David Bowie voice, but still making him kind of silly. I can only imagine how Tamatoa would be received by Moana fans who hear him in other languages. Are either the Croatian or Bulgarian singers basing their performances on iconic pop stars as well?
Two of my favorite dubs of Shiny brought together! Nice ^^
