Nice cover man. Good playing and tone. In your honest opinion does having the ESP Cygnus help you achieve that Deluhi tone, or did you just try to dial in the tone with your amp settings? I'm considering ordering this guitar.
For Deluhi live tone, yes, easy. Ive got a lot of compliments that I sounded like Deluhi when I use Cygnus on shows.
However, it is questionable for recording tone, since Leda's equipment varies a lot in recordings (ESP Horizon with L500 on someplaces, and obviously Mesa Boogie-ish tone on Revolver Blast)
It is a great guitar. Even tho Ive been using my Strandberg 8 strings a lot because it sounds crazy good on its own, it is light as hell, and it actually helps having 2 more strings in some session situation. But Cygnus is still my go to guitar for 6 strings stuff.
Ah, I see. Thank you for the reply! I appreciate it. So do you think part of the tone that Leda got with Deluhi back in the day was because of the L500? I have a Marshall DSL50 amp with an Orange 2x12 V30's cab. I like the tone I get, but I am basically in love with the tone from Rebel:Sicks Shadow:Six. If I could ever achieve that tone I would be able to die happy lol. You think I should get the Cygnus?
Also, if you don't mind me asking, if I do get the ESP Cygnus, what dealer should I buy it from? Since it'll be costing around 3000 dollars and looks like it has to be created once I order it. I want to go through a reputable japanese vendor.
Definately, Rebel Sicks tone is basically a L500 loaded guitar with a mid-gain setting on the rhythm. A marshall with V30 speaker will work.
Just go direct to ESP, thats how I got mine. There are a lot of ESP direct shops in Japan and I got my Cygnus at ESP Crafthouse in Shibuya Japan.
Cool. Can you tell me what you mean by going direct to ESP? I don't see anywhere to order the Cygnus through ESP's website.
Esp is not selling this guitars outside japan. Either go to esp japan, a Japanese retailer or buy it completely overpriced from ebay

It's Leda's signature guitar, the model is called "Cygnus" from the japanese brand ESP.
The shape of the guitar is based on a similar model called ESP Phoenix.

It has been discontinued from production because Leda has no longer plays for ESP. It takes a few months to make @ $3,500+ when I ordered mine from ESP Japan.

unscrew the pick guard and you will see a number on the back of the volume control 250k,500k or 1meg
also if there is a capacitor wired acrossed it see if you can get the number off that. Very very curious as to how he has these wired up, I have a phat cat and an l500l in my prestige just missing this bit of information.

サイオン thanks for replying! I found it actually. Seems similar to esp ltd Phoenix 403 which I'm thinking of getting second hand, are they similar in tone you think?
They are very different spec wise.
Cygnus has a snappier tone with the maple neck and bolt on neck joint. On the other hand, the Phoenix is more of a traditional warm firebird tone with it's mahogany neck and neck thru neck joint.
So I don't think you can say that they have similar tone spec wise since they are actually very different guitar, but hey, I never tried one so I'm not so sure myself.
