  • Wire mandala toy - How to make wire decorations
    I rarely make samples that are not jewelry. But this toy is quite interesting, so decided to make a guide to more people know this toy.
    This pattern can be made with copper wire but will be very soft. I use stainless steel wire to make the product more stiff and not deformed during the game.

    This is a great tutorial, very detailed and easy to follow. I used it today to make one since I had all the tools necessary, I was worried I would get confused and it wouldn't work but everything went great and I'm really happy with the result. Thank you so much for having taken the time to make this video !

    Thanks for the tutorial. I saw a viral Tik Tok recently someone sold this and I was curious on how to make one myself as they didn't show exactly how they made it eg, wire gauge, length etc... I just had to type in a different name to what they called it to find your tutorial which showed this actually has been around for a while and was not the actual original idea I saw the viral Tik Tok it came from. They just used pretty good marketing to get themselves known.

    Thank you for this tutorial! I'm a newcomer to wire work and I made something very pretty thanks to you! For anyone looking for things to bend wire around for specific sizes, I used two sockets from a socket wrench set and I foresee them being useful in the future.

    Thanks for this video. I have some super-nice versions of this I got in Prague about 25 years ago. The maker had all the lengths measured out perfectly so the outer petals could pop through the middle on both sides. I actually made friends with him and went to his house, where he showed me how to make them. So I have made exactly one (!) but I hope to make more.

    Fantastic tutorial! Thanks for sharing. What kind of wire do you use? Seems I can only find either very soft wire or "memory" wire that is so stiff that it won't change its shape at all...

    • @LanAnhHandmade
      @LanAnhHandmade  Год назад

      with this model, it is recommended to use wire with high stiffness, for example stainless steel wire or memory wire

    I adore all your videos. What be the wire measurements for the larger mandala that you are holding at the end of the clip

      I made this video a long time ago, so I don't remember the exact size. you can x them all by ratio 1.5

    Hola!! Gracias por sus videos fantásticos. Por favor me dice: qué tipo de alambre debo usar para elaborar el mandala? Nombre y calibre.

    • @LanAnhHandmade
      @LanAnhHandmade  5 лет назад +1

      Yo uso alambre de acero inoxidable, es más rígido que el alambre de cobre.. Si utiliza cable de cobre, debe usar un cable de mayor diámetro para garantizar la dureza del producto. Te deseo éxito y haz productos más hermosos.

    Love this tutorial! Any tips to make it more stiff so it holds its shape better?

    • @LanAnhHandmade
      @LanAnhHandmade  3 года назад +2

      you can use a wire with a higher stiffness or use a wire with a larger diameter to increase the rigidity of the product

      obrigado, eu costumava arredondar fio de cobre - fio magnético, é o único tipo que eu encontrei onde eu vivi por muitos tamanhos. Eu não sei exatamente o tipo que era, pode ser fio de cobre normal, tem camada de revestimento, e não escuro pelo tempo

    • @LanAnhHandmade
      @LanAnhHandmade  4 года назад

      I used to round copper wire - magnet wire (type of wire not used to make jewelry, Its price is very cheap) . it's the only kind I found where I lived for many sizes. I do not know exactly what type it was, can be normal copper wire, it have plating layer, and not dark by time
      you can change to suit the material you have

    I don't get 4cm diameter with your measurements after rounding the 13cm length and making two eyes my crown is slightly under 4cm. Same gauge wire, mine has seemingly come out smaller?

      in the process will have the wrong number because of different materials. you can + a few centimeters to depreciate.
