- Here we stand at the gate of the Jewish new year, the bridge between the long, sweet days of summer and the soul-searching of the High Holidays; between the dust of the street and the glory of the synagogue; between comforting tradition and stirring newness; between the shout of prayer and the peace of silence. Hamol is also a bridge between gentle compassion and happy rejoicing - “Have compassion on Your creation, and rejoice in Your handiwork.”

This melody is extremely beautiful with a sense of sadness to it. Since, we are in the Hebrew month of Elul & preparing for the "Days of Awe" Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur. This melody by Cantor Azi Schwartz is extremely important! It is time that we look into our souls for some introspection. We need to prepare ourselves for change & growth as the new year arrives!
