Defense Department and Navy leaders testify about the capabilities of the submarine industrial base, to meet the strategic objectives of the AUKUS security partnership between Australia, the United Kingdom and the U.S. Testifying before the, House Armed Services Committee are: Mara E. Karlin, performing the duties of deputy undersecretary of defense for policy; Erik K. Raven, undersecretary of the Navy; Navy Vice Adm. William Houston, naval submarine forces commander; and Navy Rear Adm. Jonathan Rucker, Attack Submarines Program executive officer.

One big problem with AUKUS in Australia is the workforce here is heavily unionised. This could create problems building due to industrial action. The unions here in Australia will not give it a second thought to strike, to get their demands met.
