For me 3:42 is way worse because my hands barely reach a 9th To play that part I should play the F and the G with the thumb, the D with the index and I'd play the higher F and G using the ring finger and the pinkie
my favorite part is from 5:22 to 6:12 it is pure chaos and gives a feeling of mystery, strangeness and power, especially the part of the major arpeggios with diminished fifth, and a descent until the dominant E flat arpeggio of a pretty strong way and as it fades over time ... it gives me chills
This video made me appreciate synthesis after 6 years of doing music. When I see a synthesia for a regular piece, it feels like I’m watching some boring slideshow because the special sense doesn’t seem to match the sheet music I see for the piece. But this really captured the spatial sense of a sheet music that was already complex. In a way, it kinda lets you know how much technique really goes into this.

I always come back here. While other performer tried to toss the boat on the deep of the ocean, Oguro makes the water flows guiding the boat without that tipycal despair of the most of pianists. This piece form Miroirs, Gymnopedie No. 2 and Mozart Alla Turca defines that calm and finesse a pianist needs.
@@jazzm786 I think he misunderstood, you need many years of practice to be able to play this, maybe 6-8+ obviously you can speed this up a ton depending on the quality of your practice and the amount of practice you do. But once you are at the level to be able to play this then yeah some can learn this in a few months and some maybe a year.
Finally here’s a piece I’m learning right now that I would have thought was impossible when I was learning basics. 1:32 is page four on my score, and holy hell, it made me want to shoot myself. Especially the lead up to the massive 64th note run later on. Also, I believe the tempo is usually a bit faster. That’s how I play it at least…
It took me 1 month to learn the first 2 minutes properly, and I’ve been playing for 5 years. The remaining part of the song is impossible for me though.
Hi I’m replying really late but here. I’m 16 and I’ve been playing the piano for 6 years. This piece took me 2 years to learn properly. I can’t play it exactly at the original speed, I’m just a bit slower but it’s still pretty fast. I forgot to mention but I didn’t learn this by myself, I have a teacher. I don’t know if you’re gonna see this comment but if you do and you’re wondering how I did it, well, honestly it is really hard but If you take it piece by piece slowly then progressively going faster and faster, it gets easier. It’s gonna sound corny but you have to be really determined cause you’re not going to succeed after one attempt, I promise, but eventually with hard work you’ll get to it and when you do, it’s such a good feeling cause you feel so strong and at the same time the play sounds so good so it’s amazing. Anyway if you see this then I hope I helped and if you’re not like dead and you have other questions, don’t hesitate
my dream is fo play this even though i cant play with two hands yet i will try to learn bc it is my dream i love call me by your name and its soundtrack i can already play 2 songs from the movie hopefully this one aswell
Pionists are the superior race. Yes. It’s murder. Full arm workout for me, and my wrists are totally shredded after learning this madness for 5 months so far.
For the main theme where the left hand has the arpeggio, I do: 5 3 2 1 3 2 1, then that back down. As for the G# that appears with the downward stem in certain measures, I actually hit that with the right hand even though that may not be traditional. It helps me get a stronger accent.
and that's on somewhere in northern italy ;)

What a beautiful piece! I'd love to play it, someday
3:42 Right Hand: no, you won't
Bruh it's actually pretty easy imo
I find the tremolo at 2:03 to be far worse
@@scriabinismydog2439 nah, 3:42 is way harder
2:03 is really doable, you don't have to stretch you hand at all and the speed is the same of 3:42

Beautiful but so darn difficult
You can do it!;)
Feels like this piece was composed somewhere out of this world.
He was tripping in a secret lake inside a french volcano, he ate some very strong blue cheese and started feeling peculiar things😂
one day i will be able to play this.
This is my favorite piece from Miroirs. I like the green and blue, and also the smoke effects and how they’re not smoking as much.
Thanks for always commenting on the smoke effects, that feedback actually helped:D

Agreed
That bit is special yeah, it makes me think of all of ravels tragedies in his lifetime reflected in the dissonance and flawed beauty
im playing the first part of this passage right now and its prob the hardest one in the whole piece ngl
2:20 my most favorite part of the piece. the G# minor arpeggio buildup resolves into an F# arpeggio.
2:02 tho
Oh to play this song :'(

Magnifique, comme tout les morceaux de Ravel sur le thème de l'eau (Jeux d'eau et Ondine). L'impressionisme est vraiment un univers merveilleux !

how much of playing the piano experience do you think someone needs before playing this???
Maybe a few months, it completely and absolutely depends of who is playing, some need just some weeks, and some may take years
