A woman on TikTok did a series of videos telling the story of how, just earlier this month, a man belonging to this group broke into her house, changed the locks, and claimed that the house was his. They had to call a SWAT team to get him out.
The story was twisted. The man drew the correct paper work to possess the house. The woman was gone long enough for the the house to be declared abandoned. Likely she forgot to pay her taxes. I guess they kinda sorta didn't mention that part on the news.

People who don't know their own history, their own languages, religions, cultures and even their own names will have a crisis of identity. @@trog69 Bottom line, the 10 adults were charged with over 400 crimes stemming from the incident. Here it is march 2022 and trials are now being scheduled for the next couple of weeks. Some of the defendants have been in jail this whole time. Many others who came to "help" have also been arrested and had their unregistered vehicles confiscated, as required in Massachusetts law.

Massachusetts has some of the most strict gun laws in the country. Carrying without a permit > Go to jail for one year--a mandatory sentence no bail and you can't cut a deal. Same for having a loaded gun in your car. No such thing as open carry or conceal and carry. All of them, including minors, will be cooling off in a Massachusetts house of correction for at least a year and probably more with additional charges.

A buddy of mine got really into the whole sovereign thing and we used to sit and talk for hours about it. For a while I thought it made sense and I would get in arguments with people for hours and when I look back I feel like an idiot. I did learn a good amount of law terminology though. I do think that some of the people are reaching way too far when they try to get millions of dollars that they themselves don’t believe are worth anything. Not everyone is looking for a payday, and there are many legal situations that people get into that are easily fixable with a little bit of knowledge and certain language. I have been following sovereign citizens and Moorish “Nationals” for several years now. You made some good points but some might need a little clarification. Not that that makes it make any more sense. Birth Certificates supposedly have the newborn’s name in all upper case. This creates the “strawman” (not the same strawman of bad logic). There’s more mumbo jumbo about the “legal person” and the “living person.” They never admit to understanding any question put to them because they don’t “stand under” anyone. A woman on TikTok did a series of videos telling the story of how, just earlier this month, a man belonging to this group broke into her house, changed the locks, and claimed that the house was his. They had to call a SWAT team to get him out.
The story was twisted. The man drew the correct paper work to possess the house. The woman was gone long enough for the the house to be declared abandoned. Likely she forgot to pay her taxes. I guess they kinda sorta didn't mention that part on the news.

I've come across people like this in my work. They're usually trying to avoid getting their homes repossessed and I don't think most of them believe a word of it. They're either con artists themselves or victims of con artists who persuade them there's such a thing as law magic.

A buddy of mine got really into the whole sovereign thing and we used to sit and talk for hours about it. For a while I thought it made sense and I would get in arguments with people for hours and when I look back I feel like an idiot. I did learn a good amount of law terminology though. I do think that some of the people are reaching way too far when they try to get millions of dollars that they themselves don’t believe are worth anything. Not everyone is looking for a payday, and there are many legal situations that people get into that are easily fixable with a little bit of knowledge and certain language. Anyway I think you’re spot on with most of what you said, good video!! I’m going to tune into the podcast tonight

I have been following sovereign citizens and Moorish “Nationals” for several years now. You made some good points but some might need a little clarification. Not that that makes it make any more sense. Birth Certificates supposedly have the newborn’s name in all upper case. This creates the “strawman” (not the same strawman of bad logic). There’s more mumbo jumbo about the “legal person” and the “living person.”
They never admit to understanding any question put to them because they don’t “stand under” anyone. Like if a judge asks them if they understand the charges just read to them. They will answer no and as long as the judges uses the word “understand” they will never say yes. This is illustrated in the arraignment of the leader of the Rise of the Moors when he refused to say he understood the charges. That got him charges with contempt of court and no bail.
All this is especially sad when a child gets caught up in it.

I had a co-worker 20 years ago, who said she had declared herself "sovereign", and she hit most of the talking points mentioned here. I could never understand what she was talking about. I was tempted to declared myself Empress of Starbucks.
