  • This is a French Clairon made by Couesnon in 1941. This is the style bugle commonly used in the American Civil War. This is also the type of bugle the Gen Pershing purchased for his Army in Europe at the end of WWI.

    Congratulations on your new book!
    Enjoyed this, thanks.
I have a reproduction brass Civil War bugle and recently purchased the yellow silk cavalry cord.
I've searched and searched for the historically appropriate wrap...any ideas?
    Take care...
