Srila Prabhupada, as he's known to his followers, translated and commented on over eighty volumes of the Vedas' most important sacred bhakti texts, including the Bhagavad-gita-a concise handbook for understanding the purpose and goal of human life-and the multi-volume Srimad-Bhagavatam-an epic biography of Krishna, Krishna's avatars, and His many devotees throughout the history of the universe.

There are thousands of restrictions for women but not for men. In Prabhupada bhagwat geeta as it is it is written that women are not intelligent and faithful. But actually just the opposite is correct. Man marries dozens of wife but a women had to marry 1. Such rubbish theory is outdated only hippies can accept this theory not intelligent one.

How are independent women unhappy!? Why are women always expected to depend on man? It is better to live independently rather than living with a man who can't even be called a human!.. Being independent must be a compulsion.. Women are strong and capable enough to take care of themselves.. Independent women are much happier than those who still depend on "their man" , who live in an abusive relationship, who get dominated by men... It's masculine nature to provide resources. Feminine Nature is to receive them from right man. Choosing right man is her success.

SP also said "Women are the inspiration of men. Therefore the women is more powerful then men." People should not take principals out of context. When SP is saying "its a fact" that is true but one has to see the whole picture. What is good and what is bad is determined by the goal sociaty or one self is setting. Vedic civilazation is aiming to get back to godhead therefore one has to understand the nature and how to deal with it. Its not about surpressing women but to make it for both easy to focus on true advancement in life. The mind is the biggest enemy therefore one has to take care of it. If we make women to work physical activities like chopping wood, hand to hand physical combat in wars (when absolute unavoidable wars occur), lifting heavy household goods etc and let the men to nurture kids . It won't help us to do things easier. As men are gifted in more physical strength and women are naturally the nurturer of kids in nature including the beasts birds and other life forms. And in profession also , if we make someone gifted in singing abilities to join the sports , and someone who interested in active service to become doctors . The society would be slow in advancing . So , we need to know our own differences too to function properly. At the moment , everything is mixed up . Everyone is send in a same type of school where some do likes it and some of them hates it . The one who is interested in that type of school are termed as alpha people while the person who is interested in different way are considered as beta . Even Einstein used to failed in his courses as he was not interested in those things he was made to study. So, we actually need to have awareness about our differences so that we could use someone or something perfectly in the way they are meant too. So even though , we have to respect everyone as the same, we have to acknowledge our differences too as " variety is what makes life interesting"
Either man or woman, everyone is prakriti. The real purusa is Krishna. Purusa means the enjoyer and prakriti means the instrument of enjoyment. Krishna is the only Shaktimaan(energetic)and everyone is His shakti (energy). So everyone should surrender unto the lotus feet of Krsna and be under His control as a chaste woman towards her husband. So we have to transcend ourselves from the bodily concept of life that 'I am a man' or 'I am a woman' or a human being etc. which is nothing more than false designations. We have to realize our true positions as eternal servants of Krsna. God is the Supreme Enjoyer and everyone of us is enjoyed. So there is no one Purusa except God! Hare Krsna🙏🌼

Prabhupada's statements are appicable in a pre-industrial society. Prabhupada said that we are doing ugra-karma and this modern civilisation will collapse one day. Women can work and make money only under present circumstances. 100-200 years ago, there was only traditional means of livelihood. Ofcourse, the men also have to take up spirituality.

I got self formed image of Krishna after taking bharmacharya. I can't really explain all my experience. For me he is my everything. In Gita it's written, Sarva Dharman Praityaje mam ek sharanam vraj meaning take shelter of God leave all dharma and just rely on God. Here srila Prabhupada says something which is misunderstood .let me try to brief it for those who are confused with what Prabhupada said. 1. Less intelligence means Prabhupada says about spiritual intelligence (soul in female body has more attachment to the body that's why in general women takes more care of body than required like makeup and stuff ). 2. More Emotional person have generally sentimental attachment to what they like .for example if a person is more Emotionally attached with god ,there are lot of possibilities to hate or love God according to the situation he is in..if he/she is going through rough phase in his life he may suddenly question and hate god. So in general soul in women are more emotional because mother's nature is more Emotional only then child will be properly taken care . Just see the things around you That's how male and female body has certain responsibility . So Since women are more emotional they should be taken good care by their son , father or husband for the spiritual progess of the soul in female body. That's the point. Women in general are less intelligent. That does not mean that all women are leas intelligent. There are also men who are less intelligent but not that much as women.
When it comes to giving birth, a birth can only happen if the husband accepts his wife's jewel. Without husband a woman cannot give birth.
And the statement about women that Prabhupada quoted is from Manu-smriti. And Manu id the first person on this earth that is created by Brahma. So it is the statement from that vedic text not that Prabhupada created it himself. Whatever Prabhupada is talking he is talking it from the scriptures.
And Prabhupada never claimed he is Superior. I hope you have the intelligence to understand him.

Back in the day, even your grandfather might have married an 11year old. But the point is he did all his duties and made sure his son is capable of living himself and he specifically asked him to take care of his mother. This is the ideal vedic system, which is Varnasrama Dharma. This is his mission, his duty to fulfill his Guru Maharaja's desire to spread Krishna Consciousness all over the world and he did a damn good job in doing it. That is why we are fortunate to hear his lectures now.

@@pcnair9868 your grandfather might have married after 1950, but back in the day marrying young women is common, even still this is followed in some Islamic states and they used to have more than 10 children. And staying together for life means your grandfather decided not to retire from householder life, which is fine for someone who doesn't have any duty other than taking care of their family. And in this case, the Varnashram stages are not fulfilled. For a person who has the knowledge, knows that the Sanyasi stage is the best for spiritual life, with no other dependencies other than things related to Krishna, which is what Srila Prabhupada did and I am very thankful that he did it for all of us.
For a child, after his father is retired/departed from householder life, he must take care of his mother. Srila Prabhupada specifically instructed his elder son to take care of his mother before he left.

"Kalau sudra sambhabah " In Kali yuga everyone is a sudra . Mahabharata was written to explain the Vedas to sudras and women as we will not be able to understand the Vedas. So, even the so called Brahmana in Kali Yuga are all sudras. But if one becomes a real devotee . He transcends it and he becomes intelligent or becomes brahmana. Even either they are women or sudras if one becomes a devotee they becomes intelligent. So ,no one is a Brahmana in Kali Yuga . Only the real devotees are the brahmanas except the fake ones (who are all sudras or even less)

What I understand is that in those days, they used to say that when the eldest son gets married. Both the parents should give all the responsibilities to the eldest son then they should go to the forest and spend rest of their life doing sadhana, prayers, etc, not only the father. Anyway these days, we don't have to live in forest but we should know when to stop running and give our time to God who is Sat chit ananda which means ever truthful, ever conscious, ever peaceful and ever loving. I don't know why he mentioned Krishna is greater than Vishnu or Narayan, probably it is in Vedic scripture. I think we should praise and chant any lord with love. I pray and praise my baba, sai baba with love and in other time I chant the maha mantra. My understand from sai baba's teaching is that there is only one lord and to whoever you pray with devotion and love, the message goes to that one lord. "Sabka Malik Ek "

Derek please don't view Vedic civilization from a western view. Our world views are completely different. Abrahamic faiths which have influenced western societies ethics and morals including role of a woman, Secularism is also a western concept, it does not fit in with Vedic view. Being dependent or coming under protection does not mean inferior. Woman is greatly respected under Vedic system, We had great women saints, warriors and scholars in Vedic civilisations much before West knew words like "women equality". Vedas calls women a Goddess. Abrahamic faiths view women as inferior, Wherever these faith went they destroyed the local cultures and references to female deities. Whole struggle in the west has been to counter these negative views on women. Greeks did have Goddess but they did not have a concept of Shakti, which is completely a different concept. @Nimish Sharma Tulsi is also Mahasati. Every religion make women dependent on men. Women liberation just started about 50 years back . Prabhupada's concept seems surprising to today's people. But before that, in europe and whole world too.. there was no concept of women liberation(maybe there in ancient time, I m not considering it) working into action. you can watch 1960s movies, women was more respected and life was more enjoying. sexual violence and crime rate is so high now after the liberation. I think although not all, there might be something good in what he teach.

From childhood girls like dolls and babies and boys like toys such as guns. We are also totally different in the sense that we have different body parts. For intelligence I don't know. But for physical strength men are generally stronger and have predatory behavior. So women need to be protected at least. Let's see from a positive view about creating religion by men. In the past, a man maybe able to enjoy sex with any girl but girls would not be able to, cause there was no contraceptive pills and treatment. World was ruled by physical strength. So this can be the reason they consider women as inferior. It cannot be taken to supress women particularly. When I see my mother with all sincerity, I want her to be soft, not to be a muscular woman who look like men.
