Because of the long, uneasy, creepy shots of the hospital and the blood. ITS SO GOOD!!!!! And the message and lyrics sends chills down my spine. So amazing guys, God bless!
This song is about the devil who brought pain to the human heart (letting humankind to know evil by eating the forbidden fruit). Here the angel is presented as the snake and we are the bird, fooled by him. Everytime we get sad and without hope, we fall in darkness. The same darkness he sustain himself(see he is eating the apple representing the forbidden fruit).
***** I'm not too sure, but going off of WATG's themes, I'd assume it's related to the Fall of Mankind or death from sin. The man is the serpent and the lady is Eve. Symbology I considered are the man's eyes being solid black before he blinks, after she comes to, the apple he eats, and the flash of green in her eyes and the theme of betrayal, probably setting the scene of Eden. I'm not too sure; I'm sure I missed some stuff somewhere, and I've only watched it twice, once on a tiny phone screen.

Whoa! What did I just watch? This is the darkest Wolves at the Gate video I've ever seen. In fact, it is the *only* dark video from WATG I've ever seen. All their others, like "Relief" or "Dead Man" or "Slaves," had a positive ending. This one does not. This video kinda reminds me of Underoath's videos. Most of them were all dark, symbolic, and ambiguous like this one. Just look at "Desperate Times, Desperate Measures" or "You're Ever So Inviting" or even "In Division" - dark, creepy, ambiguous, and shocking - much like this WATG video. It is quite surprising, to say the least.
