Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed it! I honestly feel like more things should be judged by the amount of commitment they take to maintain. I love the idea, but I lack the energy sometimes lol!
I liked WorldAnvil, but I ran afoul of the article cap for free accounts very quickly when trying to design my world. Totally understandable, but I wasn't looking to add a subscription that early in my setup process, when I wasn't even certain if the campaign would survive.. If I were starting fresh today, with the information I've put together for my campaign, it might be worth it.
I had been keeping everything for each “episode” of my campaign in one word doc, including star blocks I was going to need, but last time I played I got overwhelmed trying to scroll back and forth looking for what I needed. I JUST sat down this week and started creating my own DM binder, so this video is quite well timed, as well as the awesome resources that have been uploaded to your patreon page! You’ve definitely piqued my curiosity about world anvil, it’ll be doubly helpful since my DnD world is completely homebrewed.
Good for you! Make sure to share your world with me if you make a World Anvil! I would love to see it! I am so glad you are enjoying the resources too! 😊
Obsidian Portal is another awesome (free) site for managing your campaign. Session logs, NPCs, PCs with stats, and a player forum for discussions about the campaign.
Thanks for the ideas, I have upgraded my DM Binder. Adding a section on hooks for adventures as you recommended in a previous video. I do have a private Facebook page for the group where I can schedule the Friday night game at the FLGS, ask for input and put some of the Table Rules.
Using Trello sounds awesome, but as a DM can you hide things from the players? Like I want to share their List and maybe a simplified Quest list but I do not want them to see my NPCs List where I have detailed every NPC, their hooks, their traits, allegiances etc.:?
Another great video!! Our home group has recently been using Scabard(www.scabard.com/pbs/). Basic accounts are free and of course there are higher levels as well. We are really enjoying it! One of my favorite parts is the ability to exchange private thoughts between gm and player till both are ready to reveal or keep secret. If your character has a family, once entered into the connections, it creates a family tree. I am visual player and that helps a lot! Thanks again and can't wait to see your next video!
Great content but "5 Incredible Campaign Management Systems for DMs" is kinda misleading. this was 1 management system, 2 things that aren't meant for that purpose but can be used like one, and a plug for your patreon products
Because to me, managing my campaign means more than just using a dedicated campaign tool. There are lots of aspects to the game that I need to manage, and all of these help me do it. Hope that helps! 😊
Great call on World Anvil and their community. Thanks for these tips the level of commitment was a nice touch

IT'S A CRITICAL! Great idea!
I've been looking at world anvil for a while. I was sold but now I'm creating!
Laurie Jones That’s awesome! 😁

I’m somehow confused as to how a video entitled “5 incredible campaign management tools” only features one actual, dedicated campaign manager.
