The sack on O'Connell was a terrible play all round - bad routes and bad blocking - I'd put 10% on Aiden, 20% on Peat, 20% on the IOL, and 50% on Getsy. When he needed to buy time, there was nowhere for the QB to step up to - one guy pushed the double team of LG+C back 2 yards, and another pushed the RG back 4 yards - the line only held long enough for the 1st read, then the pocket collapsed and the only route to buy more time was backwards. Bizarrely, even though he got beat, Peat sort of did his job... if you get beat on the outside then push your guy further out so he goes round the back of the QB. It would have worked fine if the middle of the line hadn't ended up in the QB's face. I also don't see how the same exact thing wouldn't have also happened to Gardner - our QB would have to be Mahomes or Jackson to have found a way out of that mess.
I thought this was a perfect breakdown. Going from where the play is going then back to breaking down the blocking on the o-line was great and easy to follow
Thank you! I said the same thing. This guy and Mich from The raider report has a dislike for AOC that makes no sense. But watch how good they talk about him once we start winning games with AOC this season.
Exceptional breakdown! You should be on a coaching staff, but moreover your unbiased analysis is refreshing. I listen to many podcasters but you never sway. Keep up the good work. I’ll definitely be listening. Go Raiders!!!!!!
Aidan is the starter... Very good breakdown. I stand corrected. The sack had multiple errors by Peat, Aidan and the wrs. While most fans are mad at the play. We should be thrilled, Aidan did not force a bad throw on that awful route concept. How do you have two wrs in the same area. Two consecutive bad calls by getsy. Should have gone for it on fourth down. Needed to see the breakdown of routes. I caught the wrs in same area during game. And thought, now we have to watch every rep from the qbs, to see who isnt on page. Im not concerned over Aidans run outside the pocket. Aidan climbs the pocket a couple of times, which is what i wanted to see. One rollout. Which he needs to clean up. He could had stopped, set his feet and throw. Loved how he continues to survey the field and display accuracy. Aidan improves , there is nothing minshew can do to take the job from Aidan
On that one play near the goal, that was not fully on Aiden-that play should have been designed for Tucker to run to the goal line and dive left, for a low throw in the end zone-hunter renfrow ran that play to perfection.Never, should 2 player be in the same place-that's a badly executed play, and the coaches will let them know in the film room. That should have been a touchdown.

Minshew have never thrown for more than 3 touchdowns in a game,in his career.Aiden threw 4 touchdowns, before half time-as a 4th round rookie, with no training camp reps with the 1's.
First, Thank you Sanjit for the video. I noticed on a lot of the RPO plays our lineman are getting up field too deep. It only takes one coach to point that out to a Ref and we’re in for a tough day.
Great content. This is a good format, I think offense needs more of the focus being that it's a first year system and QB battle. We know what PG and crew are doing/capable of. Unsung theme throughout this entire breakdown is Cody Whitehair getting worked lol we need JPJ to get back and get reps because LG looking shaky out the gate
1 of them possible ran the wrong route, but honestly if I was a betting man, tucker is going to slant or corner Bowers is doing a stop and go where he goes after tucker passes him in order to split the coverage up more, a good design if the QB has more than 1.2 seconds...
Love the effort and analysis, but on that particular play it was entirely on Andrus Peats. The rookie DE blew right past him. He offered absolutely zero resistance. Aoc did hold onto the ball longer than the play was designed for but just a fraction of a second was all that was needed to make an adjustment. Peat did not offer any help. Aoc was on his own.
With your review it seems like AOC played a damn near perfect series. His 2 incompletions were basically thrown away balls on purpose and then his sack was 90% on Peat. You said 50-50 but he had nobody to throw to so it was best to take the sack. MAYBE he could have stepped up in the pocket to the left but that's a tough play
Didn’t know that fact about Andy Reid & how he learned Mahomes was special through his improvising skills. Great breakdown ST , appreciate the work you put in. These are great

Love this format. Who care's if it's longer. I had conversations on Saturday about what I saw and you covered each point (Aiden throwing Jacobi out of trouble, the Sack, wrong routes, etc.). Keep moving forward with this!
I like what AOC did - seemed very confident and throws are coming much faster. I am ok with him taking a sack instead of a turn over resulting in a field goal. He will get crisper in the Red Zone. I thought Gardner did some good things as well. I think our long term is with Aiden and the more development he gets the better he will get.
Great break down sanjit! I did notice a lot that our starting tackles at the moment play with their pads high hope coaches can catch it and make adjustments
I so agree with you. Not terribly sold on the QB situation. But I am happy with the entire team as a whole. We should be able to compete in a very solid way this year. We'll see how the QB situation cleans up by end of year.
So the sack at the end of the drive was a bad play call or bad execution. The only guy open was the tailback in the flat, 11 and 89 were bunched up. Pete got straight up beat and AOC tried to drop back cause he saw interior pressure and got trucked by Pete's guy. I think this offense is going to continue to be a work in progress. It's going to take time to develope regardless who the QB is.
Sanjit! Love the videos and the new setup has been fire. I was curious if you knew that the audio seems to be recording in mono or something. It has odd sort of stereo imaging almost sounds like it favors the left or right side of my speakers. Great video nonetheless🫡
He definitely had time. He doesn’t do that often so I’m hoping with good coaching they’ll put him through his paces doing that more in practices. He’ll be our starter. I’m almost sure of it
22:25 Sorry Sanjit but you’re wrong about the sack being at all on Aiden. I’m almost 50 and have been watching football since the early 80’s. It doesn’t matter when Aiden should have thrown the ball on a timed route. What matters is the Olineman should not have lost his battle. Aiden didn’t backpedal, he shifted back and out, his feet didn’t move backwards, they moved sideways and his direction was backwards. I said it on X and I’ll say it here. You have been pooping on Aiden somewhat since end of the season last year. I can tell it is because you believe the game has evolved and a team NEEDS a mobile QB who can create like Mahommes. You’re wrong on that sentiment as well. Along with a lot of talking heads out there. The focus should be on the O-line, the playcalling and the coaching. Not on the QB to bail the Offense out with their feet regularly. And I would say it is not binary. All QB’s should be able to move and should be able to create as necessary (Aiden can). But their skillset should not have to be defined by their mobility. Love you, love your show. 🏴☠️
💯agree. sanjit say he ain't bias but he blame everything on aiden on roll out to the right and misses tre. He didn't see is that tre almost trip but could've came back to the ball and caught it instead of catching the ball in strive where the defender can make the tackle or knock the ball out

Great breakdown! Andrus Peat was disappointing to me. The drive showed me a lot of positive things at the QB position AOC threading it to Mayer, throwing out of a sack , excellent ball placement and command of the offense. Glad you posted this because AOC looks like he made a big stride . Thanks 🙏🏴☠️🖤🏴☠️
Thank you for your time Sanjit. Appreciate your time. You can also argue Tucker was interfered with on the second to last play too. If Aiden would have stepped up into the pocket on the last play, instead of stepping backwards, he would have been fine. peat would have been beat either way.
Aidan is going to be the starter his 7/9 for 76 yards starting from the vikings 3 yards line and getting his team down to their 5-yard line on the opening drive was way more impressive than Gardner 6/12 for 117 and a TD by the 2nd and 3rd stringers. Gardner was pressured a bunch of times and couldn't get the ball to his players, and that's facts.
I love these All-22 breakdowns. I subscribed when my son-in-law told me that you do these types of videos. I know in the offseason there's nothing to breakdown so you can do them. Watching these videos helps me get my football fix in-between games. What a time to be alive. In the 70's you had to wait for the sports segment on the news to get anything, and it was only a two minute blurb. Then, in the 80's, ESPN came along but there wasn't enough about the NFL. Even when there was, it was general news and very little about individual teams. Today, I watched Sanjit do film study with video that used to be exclusive to NFL teams. It reminds me of us meeting at lunch in the coach's classroom with the film projector. Good times. As far as Aidan, he should of stepped up to the left. At that point, he might have had someone get open, or he could've tried to run it in. I can't wait for next your next video.
Sanjit, Not sure if you know but many of your vids have the audio only coming out of the left side! Love your content and that makes it hard to listen to!
Great breakdown. I do wonder if some of those routes are option routes. Adams knows this offense in and out and he is very good at running option routes. Tucker goes left, thats a TD.
No shade on your videos breaking down all 22, but I like to listen to you at work in my earbuds, so these kind of go over my head. I'm definitely team talking head videos lol
i dont agree with the 50/50 split blame for peat and o connel sack, peat completely wiffed on the block, so badly that he had to grab turners horse collar, dont tell me that Kolton wouldnt have made that block and saved the sack
Exactly. Sanjit is biased towards mobile/creating QBs like Mahommes. He’s proven it since the end of last season. He also wants to stay on the fence with his judgement because he doesn’t want to commit yet. Unfortunately, as a fan of the team, he will have to commit to one over the other. I understand waiting through the preseason. But honestly, Aiden has shown us enough last season and this one possession to prove he’s got the chops. Minshew is fun and can win some games. But he is somewhat erratic and does not seem to let plays develop from the pocket. That kind of hero play is what creates turnovers and ruins seasons.
Been with this team/game since age 9 (1965) Honestly it all will come down to Getsy's play calling and the Defense finding itself. We can actually make QB by committee a thing. This team is that stacked.
AOC isn’t great, but he can do the fundamentals of running an offense. Minshew is more mobile but resorts to playground ball almost every play when he shouldn't. Only casuals are convinced by Minshew's hot and cold play.
Awesome stuff, as usual! It bums me out to think that AOC has about the same level of pocket awareness that DC did...not great. We also need Kolton back. There's a reason why the Saints let Peat walk. He might be a decent G at this point.
I agree with this. I THINK this was supposed to be an option route. Tre was supposed to read the zone. Find the hole in the middle of the defense and sit.

This breakdown with the draw feature makes me feel like I’m watching ESPN keep your foot on these creators necks sanj
Getsy is known for his High School red zone plays.
Peat got beat and nobody was open. Thats not on Aiden
If that sack is 50_50. It's 50 peat and 50 tucker
I agree with this. I THINK this was supposed to be an option route. Tre was supposed to read the zone. Find the hole in the middle of the defense and sit.
