Just bought and installed it (PC, Cubase 14 as DAW). It has some serious crackling issues and makes some wiered noises when switching programs, althoug the processor load is not even high. Seems like the audio engine needs some work, at least on PC. Which is a shame, because its *really* sounding good: Rich, wide and lush as I like my JP8s :) And it comes with a set of very tasteful presets, instant inspiration! The crackling disapears when I render in place, but as said, CPU load is not the problem, and other more CPU intense VSTs run at the same time without any problems.

Why not to do that thing : set some cool presets in your real Jupiter 8 ..... and then try to replicate as close as possible in a JP8 VST (i think the roland cloud is the most closest, and the TAL or the Arturia, etc....) ?? would be great. I often see youtubers comparing presets to presets but not trying to set parameters to be closest to original !!!! or, we know that 2 originals JP8 sometimes don't sounds exactly the same with same setting ! would be very interesting !!!

Does this also come with 15Gb of copy protection bloat and 90% cpu hit to process the copy protection like all the Aqua plugins they release every other day do?
@@1wibble230 Dove is pretty recent. And it still has all that shit and unnecessarily CPU heavy. TBTech just released SpecCraft and it has a zero latency mode and is more efficient and more features, and sounds better imo. Lol. Not to mention Dove literally installs 15 different plugins. Idk how anyone could justify and defend that nonsense.
Can you seriously discuss any vst host for live performance for android users, it would be good because now such phones are available. But there is no solution for latency issue in android. And everyone has to go to ios or mackbook to play live performance patches, give any solution brother

Roland Cloud Jupiter-8 sounds little bit more punchy in lows and close to that Roland sound, acustica made a good synth, but i still prefer roland's version. But they all looks awful, i have hope for softube, Swedes can make usable and easy to eyes UI.
My PC stopped working suddenly, and it turned out some manufacturers had unnecessarily huge and/or a huge amount of files (partly ignoring settings, partly leaving temporary files) all over the place that had clogged my system drive until it stopped working. Acustica was one of them.
I don’t get the hype. I really wanna support and Italian dev but acustica, imho, is always a disappointment. Demoed this. Really unimpressed get same if not better result with Tal, Arturia, G-force, Cherry and many others.

Because most of what you are hearing in this video is not possible on the JP8.

very few acustica plugins have the extra bloat now, most have been updated, quite recently too in fact.

I tested it against Arturia j8 and it is completely different. Way more analog to my ears. What is the g-force emulation of the jupiter 8 anyway?
