- I waited 4 years to catch, clean and cook this Snook! In this video I'm collaborating with Chris from @FixinToFail . The number one goal I had going into this fishing trip was to catch a slot sized Snook to keep. I got my heart's desire within ten minutes of fishing under this bridge. The lure that got the job done was once again the Yo-zuri.

That's awesome man! I got one of those Yo-zuri minnows and never used it, gonna have to try it out now!
Thanks!
Thanks for helping out, greatly appreciated!
Wow!!
Snook are high on my list of favorite fish. The firm white thick fillets are perfect.
Good morning ☀️ well done 👍 thanks for your time, I came from Seattle, it’s a first time I see Snook meats,it’s look beautiful, Very good JOB 🌻
Thanks for the hang man! That was a blast. Can’t beat a consistent snook bite like that on artificial. 🎉
It was a blast for sure! Nights like that one don't happen very often. I'm looking forward to collaborating again!
Love your channel and I absolutely love that thermos cup. Keep on bringing us Northerners that delightful Keys content. I wish I could just spend a month down there and try out all of the delicious fishies that call that area of our great country home. God Bless you sir.
Haha, yeah ranking my favorite fish to eat as a Floridian is always changing too. I go back and forth between triggerfish, scamp grouper, blackfin snapper, yellow bar jack, mmmmhmmmm so many good eating fish!
That fried fish pretty much checked all the boxes! Bravo my friend, bravo!
Fishing lure ^^
JC! I love this channel. Whenever I watch your videos I just have to go out to the jetty or the pier!
I never had snook but it looks delicious. I will be in Florida in a few months and they will be in season. I cant wait to catch one. Ive seen people catch them all the time but were out of season. Fingers crossed that I catch one. Thank you for sharing. You have my mouth watering for some lol.
My Two favorite Fisherman in One place! Happy Birthday Chris! Nice catch JC!
Looked like a long walk to the car.
Already subscribed Fail To Fish from your post!
That sure looks delicious...
The U TUBER was a lot of fun! Glad to see you fishing fr shore!😎🇺🇸⚓🤪
I’m new to saltwater fishing. I just moved to Port St Lucie and trying to catch my first Snook. Found your channel and love your content. You got a sub in me. I just received my Yo Zuri and can’t wait to try it out. Keep you the great work!
What rod would you recommend for spillway, inshore, bridge, and jetty with that Piscifun Alijoz 300?
You deserved all that and more😊
Watching you in the last few videos, run back to your bag to get your tape made me think...painful process but... If you know the species your going after how about a piece of masking tape at the short and long ends of legal applied to your rod. That might save some steps. Or, you could stuff your tape in tour pocket before the first cast. Accomplish the same thing. Enjoying the heck out if your videos , except where you wear me out running to your bag LOL. Thanks for sharing.
You making me hungry 😂👍
I don't know nothing about that app but you can set up a day to fish with me in the Gulf of Mexico at my RUclips fishing channel ZJ ZJ Big Fish Catches!
Great video 👍😎keep on catching and cooking 😁
That 4" 3DS Minnow works well for speckled trout here in Virginia
Congrats! I am still chasing my first slot snook. I only seem to catch them out of season, lol!
Congrats on the snook!
JC. Nice work as usual 👌 You da man. Tight lines man!!!
That place looks great for night fishing 🎣 try it with some Italian bread crumbs as your coating.
Great video JC 👌 the Lord that you're using is that a topwater what is it waited ? I like to try.....I also like to get me a keeper snook they're in season right now you're in Tampa.... If you still can get them where you're at try eating snook with the lemon butter white wine francaise sauce like cooking chicken francaise you but with snook ... You'll never eat it any other way again I promise lol.
Congrats JC!! We catching them good over here in Sebastian! Learning so much from your vids! Get some more!
Y’all need a fishing stick, way better to measure. Even fwc use sticks
Woohoo!! I got all excited when you hooked that one. So happy for you that you caught your slot snook. After looking at your videos I already ordered my yozuri lure. Can't wait to try it out. Good job

I bet it wasn’t good!?!! 😂 Congratulations bro!! It looked yummy! There’s nothing like making yourself wait for a great fish. You did it right. You did everything by the book. You deserve that snooke!!! If I find them here you best believe I’m trying one😂. Right now I go for the red drum!
By the way. I went fishing tonight. I used live shrimp. I hook him through the head like you do. He was out less than two minutes and I caught the biggest croaker I’ve ever caught. So , yes it work man. Thanks for the video how to hook a shrimp. 😊
Enjoyed the video JC.
Dude really !
Great work on that snook JC and boy that recipe!!! Way to make a man hungry lol 🔥
Nice slot, and fork. congratulations
JC congratulations. That’s loooks like good tasting. I noticed the lure you used comes in different sizes. Which one did you get?
I use the 4" most of the time, but I keep the 2-3/4" in my tackle box as well.
That’s look delicious!!!😋. Question: For how long you fried the snook fingers in that 350 degrees oil to have them enough cooked and crispy?
Usually until they float. I tend to cook them a little longer because there's a certain color that I like them to be. You'll notice in the video, they are the color of fried chicken.
@@RadReelingFishing they look absolutely delicious!
Sick video Jc!! love the snook videos. sheepshead and reds are turning on aswell! go get em! tight lines!
#1Halibut #2Cobia #3snapper
Finally! Lol great video
Grilled snook is the best, in my opinion
Good to see you got your slot you’ve been trying so hard for, hopefully the rest of the season you’ll release any other slots since you got that one just so they can get some breeding cycles in to create more for us to catch in the future.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great catch bro. Time to eat my friend.
Hi JC really enjoy your vids. What rod do you pair with the Alijos bait caster?
X45 HVF Diawa TD Sol 8' XH Graphite
it's been years. do ya remember the taco recipe? way to go. the drout is over.
Do you use a baitcaster reel because of the casting distance?
I can spool a 300 size bait caster which is very light weight with 50 0r 30 lb braid. When it's paired with a graphite Musky type 7' 6" or 8' long rod it makes for a very light weight set up that will handle very big fish. Combinations like this are great for shore fishing and bridge fishing for Snook, especially when bouncing 2 oz. Snook jigs on the bottom from bridges. The combo does cast far too.
In comparison a 6000 size spinning reel is minimum size for holding 30 to 50lb braid. The spinning reel will be much bulkier and heavier than the bait casting reel.
Nice work JC, your flour and Bisquick recipe is delicious!😋 Where does Hogfish, Red Snapper, and Black Sea Bass fall into the rating category?
I like Seabass, very mild taste. Red Snapper is pretty good, would be better if I caught them a lot and experimented with how I cooked them. I've never had Hog Fish, but have heard it's delicious.
JC I’d get another one before the red tide gets them😢
See jc told you that you qould get that snook just have to have faith my brother faith is the key GREAT FISH I wanna see the catch and cook!!!
Did you get hacked or something jc this was a weird reply?
Niceeeee bro, do you recommend me to get a different color lure like your since the waters here in TX Galveston murky waters.
Can somebody share the location. Thanks in advance
Florida
Do you ever bleed out a fish then keep it cool if keeping the fish? We do that where I am in Ontario Canada if we are on an extended time on the water.
JC! Does leader line must be heavier than main braided line when fishing around structures? thanks
Not at all
Well if he wasn't slot he die anyway you leave him laying on the concrete why do people do this. Keep the fish in the water unless you're sure he's keeper size otherwise keep them in the water . Red Snook and trout
Should be handled with extreme care and never take them out of the water unless you're sure they're keeper . Just because they swim off does not mean they're going to live long. Their slime coat is very important especially trout never take them out of the water
JC, can you recommend decent rod 5’6” or 6’ that would be used just for getting pinfish on sabiki rig ?
I really like my Shakespeare Excursion rods. ruclips.net/video/Gtv-5StXxEc/видео.html I have two of them that I catch Pompano with and absolutely love the rods ruclips.net/video/jAyaF8HqgL8/видео.html
@@RadReelingFishing Thank you 👍
Great video! What night were you guys out there? On Sunday i got snagged and pulled out that same yozuri off the right bridge piling. Looks brand new!
What rod and reel are you using?
Diawa foot sol, piscifun Alioz
man I think I need to teach you how to fillet a fish.
Yeah, but you need to practice first with a big tripod with a Gopro on it in between you and the fish that you are trying to work around, ha ha...Thanks for watching.
@@RadReelingFishing agreed lol
what baitcasting reel is that you're using ? nice video
300 Alioz
Start throwing nlbns get a lot more view just letting ya know
Do you straight reel or do you twitch it
Steady reel most of the time. Periodically I'll reel, stop, jerk, pause, reel, stop, jerk pause. Most of the time I think it's a reaction bite with Snook because I'm working the lure pretty fast. Thanks for watching.
What exact yozuri model is that??
It's linked in the description area. Get the 4"
@@RadReelingFishing thanks! Tight lines🤙🏻
Congrats JC, I know how hard it must have been not being able to take one home all this time, truly happy for you.
Any luck
No lure "always" gets the job done. And.... ANY lure can get the job done.... if you put it in striking distance of a hungry fish.
It depends on the fisherman's definition of job. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@RadReelingFishing
I would never fish any other way than with artificial. I enjoy it more.
I firmly believe in two factors that are expressed in famous sayings.
"Lures catch more fishermen than fish." Most fishermen have WAY to many lures.....and...
"It's the Indian, not the arrow."
If you can fish, you'll catch fish with any lure that's in the right water depth. Your not gonna catch flounder in 20' of water on a surface lure. But.... You can catch a trout that's 20' deep on a surface lure.... Probably not as many as a 4'-6' subsurface plug.
That’s look delicious!!!😋. Question: For how long you fried the snook fingers in that 350 degrees oil to have them enough cooked and crispy?
I cook them until they are the color of fried chicken
Thanks!
