  • I waited 4 years to catch, clean and cook this Snook! In this video I'm collaborating with Chris from ‪@FixinToFail‬ . The number one goal I had going into this fishing trip was to catch a slot sized Snook to keep. I got my heart's desire within ten minutes of fishing under this bridge. The lure that got the job done was once again the Yo-zuri.

    Watching you in the last few videos, run back to your bag to get your tape made me think...painful process but... If you know the species your going after how about a piece of masking tape at the short and long ends of legal applied to your rod. That might save some steps. Or, you could stuff your tape in tour pocket before the first cast. Accomplish the same thing. Enjoying the heck out if your videos , except where you wear me out running to your bag LOL. Do you use a baitcaster reel because of the casting distance?

    • @RadReelingFishing
      @RadReelingFishing  9 месяцев назад

      I can spool a 300 size bait caster which is very light weight with 50 0r 30 lb braid. When it's paired with a graphite Musky type 7' 6" or 8' long rod it makes for a very light weight set up that will handle very big fish. Combinations like this are great for shore fishing and bridge fishing for Snook, especially when bouncing 2 oz. Snook jigs on the bottom from bridges. The combo does cast far too.
      In comparison a 6000 size spinning reel is minimum size for holding 30 to 50lb braid. The spinning reel will be much bulkier and heavier than the bait casting reel.

    Well if he wasn't slot he die anyway you leave him laying on the concrete why do people do this. Keep the fish in the water unless you're sure he's keeper size otherwise keep them in the water . Red Snook and trout
    Should be handled with extreme care and never take them out of the water unless you're sure they're keeper . Just because they swim off does not mean they're going to live long. Their slime coat is very important especially trout never take them out of the water

      I would never fish any other way than with artificial. I enjoy it more.
      I firmly believe in two factors that are expressed in famous sayings.
      "Lures catch more fishermen than fish." Most fishermen have WAY to many lures.....and...
      "It's the Indian, not the arrow."
      If you can fish, you'll catch fish with any lure that's in the right water depth. Your not gonna catch flounder in 20' of water on a surface lure. But.... You can catch a trout that's 20' deep on a surface lure.... Probably not as many as a 4'-6' subsurface plug.
