We hated other tribes, started unnecessary wars with each other frequently (which is why we always moved about so much and also why many small languages/tribes are extinct today) and not to mention how gruesome some of our cultural practices were (i.e. killing one of or a set of twins immediately after birth; burying kings with a bunch of innocent people, whether they were dead or alive, because a king couldn't be buried alone, etc.) We never lived in a utopia, we have to be honest with ourselves sometimes.
