I agree with the lecture thing:
Content is one thing and it’s readily available everywhere (text, video)
But lectures is for insight or practice and you cannot get that from a video. I hate lectures waste of time
The traditional classroom is not the right place anymore, I believe in flipped classroom model

    Keep up the good work
I have a undergrad degree agriculture and reading for a masters degree in biological systems engineering engaging in more mechanical engineering work.

Great video it's cool hearing about and following your education journey. I got a BS in mechanical engineering 15 years ago and have worked as a mechanical engineer ever since. But I was always fascinated with math. As an engineering student I never git into much pure math. Anyway I have been working thru Spivak to get a foundation in rigorous calculus and basic analysis then my long term goal is to make it thru baby rudin.
Do you plan to take more math in grad school or mostly physics classes. Also I know you said you have taken some grad classes already. Did you take grad real analysis? Just curious. Anyways great videos always enjoy watching.

Yes I have taken the grad course on Real Analysis. It is heavily used in my research.

@@oceansofmath I'm really interested in majoring in mathematics & physics. However I just feel like I wasn't made for this, I've never been smart enough for olympiads (don't have a high IQ) and I'm okayish with my A levels, not too extraordinary and I'm not a top achiever. Is it worth chasing after a degree in maths and physics if I'm a low IQ individual?

@reversicle212 1000 percent. Learning math is not about intelligence. It is about hard work and dedication. It is about passion. Math is an art and you have to learn how to see the painting 🖼 . Everyone will struggle. Just never give up on yourself and be patient. Make small progress in your understanding every day, and read, read, read the textbook. Ask for help if you get stuck.
