Just got back from Zambia. Got married 2 weeks ago in the Copperbelt. And mtn didn’t let me down so was able to see all the videos. I miss Zambia already but I never bargained. Always paid the price they asked. For an European being there life is so cheap compared to home that I always tip extra. What seems to be small pocket money to us, can make the difference for an entire family and I always love to see people smile. Wonderful people there and I am proud being married to a Zambian woman 😁
The market scene just looks like Gikomba In Kenya. Makes you just think Africa is just one village... and also the two ladies I think they have Kikuyu blood in them because they're really good at convincing someone to purchase something they had no plan of purchasing! We are Africans, and Africa is our Business ❤
Those two young ladies in the clothes shop were delightful. I would have bought something purely for their wonderful spirit. Wish we still had shop assistants in the UK like that, where everything is either in plastic or with a bit of card and attached hanger and floor walkers are few and far between. What a wonderful spirit the people you meet have.
I have been to Zambia. Ladies are nice, but there are lots of scammers in the streets, especially the guys. Every young man you meet is trying to scam you including taxi drivers. There is severe joblessness and poverty.
Muli Bwangi my African brothers and sisters living in Lusaka and Zambia as a whole.... I last visited Lusaka in the early 90's and was staying in Kabulonge area... I loved every second of my stay there and made many friends in a very short time... Very calm and friendly people, enjoy your stay Brother Yves... Am from Kampala Ugandaaaa.... Let's go guyssss...
I hope when you finally get to South Africa you'll award yourself a King's treat to celebrate your 2+ years journeying all the way from France to Africa. We're here to witness that grand entrance. Go Yves 🇫🇷 🇰🇪 🇰🇪 🇰🇪
This was so great to watch. I live in Lusaka and pass through these places everyday. I enjoyed seeing it through your eyes. It helps appreciate a place. We are a generally friendly and welcoming people. Thanks for coming Yves !! 🎉
Welcome to Lusaka. Our city is not very big, we have a population of 3million people. The modern and nice part of the city is in the eastern side and not where you went
Mmmm.. I would actually rather they were one of the biggest economies. I am not sure the ability to speak English means anything. I would rather Zambia was like Japan - no English but crazily developed.
Indeed, Africa has to lift its people’s standard of living this century. Coming years are going to be tough economically, socially not to forget the environmental curses. Developed countries have fewer resources and increasingly nationalistic.
What a such slave hangover mindset! China and Japan are way developed without english language and African people like you are busy glorifying english language🤦♀️
It’s good to see Yves in my country I miss Zambia 🇿🇲..I wish I had a chance to meet you. Zambian spirit over there. I like the chief negotiator 😂😂😂😂😂🇿🇲
Yves, Thank You for sharing the history and taking us around the markets. You my friend are very courageous and your kindness shows.Yves, we all know not to let anyone bite your sausage 😂😂(if you know what I’m talking about) Stay safe and sending hugs from Florida ❤
Your visit and exploration of lusaka is really well timed just at time when its safer to roam around without being harrassed. No cadres and misbehavings
It's yet another Saturday. Wao. Thank you bro for yet another video. Greetings from UGA. Zambians are good at bargaining, just like ugandans. They can easily dry up your pockets 😂

From Makola mkt in Ghana to Oshodi Nigeria to Lusaka's market chaos reigns. Now see why they don't want you in the streets of Rome or Paris?

@@Accuface2000 well thats pretty obvious but the shop ladies were still fun and Yves got a fair deal (for an admittedly fake but ok product)
what about the treatment of the blind girl?
They just wanted to sell their stuff no pure soul or what ever
25:10 Those ladies are natural salespeople and even in English! So great to see :)
