  • Three Reasons Why These Jollibee Commercials Are Making Filipinos Cry.
1.“Vow” makes viewers believe in unconditional love, even if it is unrequited.
“Vow” tackles the sacrifices that a person would go through for the love of his life. Unfortunately, that love turned out to be unrequited.
The video starts with a bride marching while a man’s voice narrates in the background. While the bride marches, there's a series of flashbacks shown such as the first time the two characters met and how they spent a lot of time together. As the video ends, viewers were surprised to see that the narrator turned out to be the best man, instead of the groom.
Facebook users are quick to react to the video. Check out their comments below:
“A moment of silence for our fallen brother in the friendzone,” Facebook user Johann Robles commented. This comment earned more than 9,000 likes.
"A true story of untold love and hidden admiration," Nicko Samulde Puga said.
"Austen Christian Zecha check this out bro. There are two others. Massive viral, all organic," Dave Ryan Aguirre Buaron wrote on the comments section of the FB video.
“Vow” was directed by Ianco Dela Cruz, who's also an actor and an assistant director. His other film credits are "Lasponggols" (2005), "Akala mo..." (2002) and "Biyaheng Langit" (2000). The video has earned more than 8.3 million views in less than a day it was uploaded on Facebook. It currently has 11 million views. It also has more than 400,000 shares and comments.
    2. “Crush” celebrates the joy of those who never gave up on love.
The short film is about the love that persists and wins. Set in what appears to be in the late 1980s, the video shows a young man who persistently gave Jollibee’s cheeseburger to his crush.
In the early part of the video, signs of heartbreak appeared as his crush was already with someone. However, the ending of the film tells it differently as the two turned out to have ended up together. In a reunion event, the young man pining for his crush back then, is now a grandfather. He is shown giving his crush another Jollibee cheeseburger with a Post -it note that says "Sorry, late ako." ("Sorry, I'm Late.") It was revealed though that they actually ended up together and even have grandchildren of their own.
Directed by Joel Ruiz, “Crush” has 6.1 million views after 17 hours from its upload time. It currently has 9.6 milliion views on Facebook. The video also has more than 480,000 comments and reactions and over 300,000 shares on the social networking site.
