Clay soil can eventually be turned into good fertile soil. However, this will take several years. The main method that has already been tested by me and many gardeners is the constant mulching with organic matter. I use plant leaves, thin twigs, wood chips, bark, and especially fallen leaves.
Under a thick layer of organic matter, earthworms always start up, which saturate the earth with valuable nutritious humus. In addition, these soil inhabitants perfectly loosen the soil and make it more moisture and breathable, which is very important for the development of the root system of plants.
