I think this battle ultimately boiled down to the judges' preference. Hiss had better flow and texture but lacked that raw energy. On the other hand, Remix had hard-hitting drops but his overall structure had a lot of flaws. In the end, the judges valued drops over structure so I think that's why they voted for Remix. I'm quite interested what Madox thinks about this because this battle was controversial among other beatboxers too. Dlow said he thinks Remix rightfully won, while Colaps said in his livestream that Hiss was the winner for him.

thanks for sharing your opinion! Can't wait to share mine with you in this video. :-) NO SPOILERS so you have to wait. :-p
I mean I'm pretty sure it's quite biased just on taste as well, I would choose hard-hitting drops and hype over perfect structure anytime, especially since I'm not a, yknow professional beatboxer, I can't catch any flaws, so as long as it sounds fine, the structure doesn't matter much BUT what I said is just for just casuals, for people that actually know more about beatboxing the flaws in Remix's routines may be more obvious, but still I personally just prefer the hype and hard-hitting from Remix than the pitch-perfect but less hype from Hiss not saying he is bad, it's just personal taste
@@DEVIG0nah, bro. Firstly, Inertia didn't have big flaws as Remix here. Secondly, he overall was better. Thirdly, even Helium himself had admitted that he lost then.
Moral of the video: You need raw energy and to appear like you're beatboxing out of your heart to get judge points 2nd moral of the video: Azel is the best beatboxer in the world judge wise
7:05, i think it’s crazy how hhas can deliver so much emotion but rarely does, like the voice play tv show he started with 30 second of just his voice, and it was mindblowing and everybody got goosebumps, in his 2019 show case when he did the « VUMVUMVUMVUMdum » again goosebumps, yet on his battles he barely do this. I think he should take his time more, and let the audience appreciate his control
ig it depends on what emotion that the crowd want to get, h-has is simply the best if there's enough time for him to do emotional goosebump vibe, but it's a battle so you need to give hype to the crowd, and if he wants to turn the emotion, he just had 1 half minute so he doesn't have enough vibe to build the tension around him
@@irsyadropen1770 Yeah that's true, but maybe he should modify his structure, like 45 seconds of emotional buildup and 45 second of hard drop would be way better imo
When madox first start analyzing hisses first round the game I was playing a game that had a character say " I can't lose" and I thought that was part of the video 😜
Hey Madox, I hope you going well? I just want to post this message to say thank you for your fun and jokes as well. I’m just a new fother untill few days and it’s a very tuff twist! But you help me... So THANK YOU and never give up 😉
I feel hiss definitely should have won. But I'm glad remix did, simply because it sky rocketed his bbx career. However I can't help but feel hiss was robbed. His 2nd around was just ridiculously good.
Basically Madox was saying Hiss was so good it made him bad. Interesting. Also plot twist the judges picked the wrong number by mistake and meant to vote for Hiss but didn't want to make Remix get excited and then feel bad.
its like tony hawk back in the day didnt get much respect in the skate scene, cause he was just too good & 'robotic' they called him. look at him now tho ;)
18:56 I dunno if I'm trippin' but every time I see Sir Madox's mic boom, I always think it's passing through his body. Gets me every time. Really. On a side note: We made it guys and gals~! Sad that Hiss didn't won but that's not to say that Remix wasn't dope as fudge. Thanks Sir Madox!
Respecting the juges, yes but the jugement, non, i juste want to say the we are humains and we make mistakes, the important is to admet it, and if i respect this jugement i feel that i gived a raison to a mistake to be correct 👍
Hey Madox, just curious, are you only going to analyze battle or are you planning to also analyze eliminations that should have made it to the top 8 or top 4?
I think the judges chose Remix because of how it seemed like he was fighting him with all of the rebuttals, using the same lyrics every now and then, and then the hard hitting drops.
Ayo i think one of the main reasons Remix kept losing tempo was because his connection was spotty. Now it could’ve been a mix of both that and his own struggling but I think the connection makes it more noticeable. It also means that the judges are gonna judge less harshly on tempo issues because they connection can be a problem.
@@JakeFLM bro you didn’t understand the second half of what I said. The judges were more generous as they attributed many of Remixes mistakes to the connection issues. So they actually helped him win. If their weren’t connection issues it would’ve been clear that the flow and structure problems were Remix’s fault and not the internet connection
Madox you NEED to react to AGM - 10 Minute Freestyle & AGM - Indonesian Prodigy!! He is 14 years old and absolutely INSANE!!! You will NOT be disappointed!
3:05 I think maybe that was a bit of what happened in the battle of b-art vs d-low because the hype was so high with b-art doing things so new that it felt like a stolen victory from d-low since he did not show such a new style at the level of blow minds away from the expectation that was had
Well Remix started beatboxing just 2 or 3 yrs ago so I think it'll take him few more years to improve his flaws But still it's so amazing that he became a gbb level beatboxer in just few years Though I prefer timing and structure over heavy drops and counters. So for me hiss is the winner
@@stanley7722 not at all lol. In his battle against rhythmind which madox already analyzed, he really messed his first round and the second one also wasn't that great but Rhytmind was absolutely killing it on the stage.
@@manavjaison absolutely, i agree with thay completely. His performances against rhythmind werent his best and rhythmind demolished him.
