    You know that "Smile" is a song where they address the fans? The lyrics say how they look from the stage to the audience and see the smiles of people there, and their gratitude to the fans who support them so much and appreciate their music.
    This band is a miracle, really.

      @@realbser1956 To be honest, I am shocked each time I see them, to realize that they can be SO good.
      When I watched that stream with this ACOUSTIC OKYUJI, I remember in the end I felt like, "Wow, this is a really good show!" I subconsciously expected that it would be boring. But no, BAND-MAID never fails, they always make if rich and perfect.

    Isn't it amazing that these talented young women can rock so hard in their live concerts, with the same songs perform them in another form and lets them stand on their own merit. Band Maid is one of the most gifted cohesive, and professional bands I have ever had the privilege of seeing and hearing.

    I was surprised when they started to play H-G-K acoustic. That is considered to be one of the craziest songs they ever wrote. I was also blown away by Saiki's vocals on Different. So powerful. What a band. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to the 2nd one.

    In this setting, Saiki's and Miku's voices really shine. It becomes obvious that they are incredible singers.

    This concert was probably the best advert for Saiki's voice- ably accompanied by Miku of course. She should be world famous by now. Pure other worldly genius and the recent show at Yokohama showed that her voice is getting better, if that's possible.

    One thing I really love, is the way Akane gets the 'Ringo Starr' swing to her playing style in this whole show. So cool.

    Saiki's hard rock powerhouse vocals are widely recognized, but I think I love her voice even more in this setting. Her lower register is SO F'ing beautiful - and all her other registers too for that matter. And Miku's harmonies are spectacular, especially since some of the intervals are tough ones to hit dead smack on center - but she does it. And I believe those are rod sticks that A-chan is using, not brushes. This concert hit so hard emotionally, especially with Covid still looming over everyone's lives. I love this band.

    That vibrating video in some parts was irritating to me at first, but then I got used to it and stopped noticing it.
    On the positive side, the fact that video is corrupted should pacify the copyright maniacs who will inevitably complain that you have no right to react to material which is not on their official RUclips channel 😁 Although I think the "Fair Use" condition applies to any material, even the videos you watch from a disc, etc.
    I also think that BAND-MAID will remain in the history of music, and future generations will keep listening to them in the centuries to come.
    Very nice reaction, thank you!

    Shinkiba Studio Coast would be another awesome live concert to react to. A LOT of fantastic songs (up there with Zepp Tokyo). I'm sure there's a few in there that you may or may not of heard (Matchless Gum and Awkward just to name a couple).
    I'm sure you will get to it one day.
    Until then ... we'll just sit back and chill with this Acoustic set.
    Thanx for your reaction and doin your bit to promote this wonderful band.

      BAND-MAID belongs to a Japanese music production company whose main business is the sale of copyright-based sound sources.
      Despite the existence of professionally produced footage and recordings of this Christmas acoustic concert, it was not included in the company's schedule for commercialisation, but was commercialised and released by the company as a work of another group.BAND-MAID's work did not rank among the company's releases that month.
      This was because the company considered BAND-MAID's work to be unprofitable.
      The total number of views for each of BAND-MAID's songs on RUclips is a mid-tier figure compared to bands that are completely unknown in the West but extremely popular in Japan.However, BAND-MAID is not well known in Japan. (All hard rock fans who go to live houses on weekends know BAND-MAID.)Essentially, music sales in Japan are almost proportional to the number of views on RUclips.
      However, BAND-MAID's works were not commercialised, despite the fact that the works of groups whose RUclips views would have been far less than BAND-MAID's and at the bottom of the commercialisation order were commercialised.
      People like L33Reacts and Vladimir Chupin don't understand why.
      The reason is that BAND-MAID's RUclips views are mostly from the West and do not directly translate into sales for the company. And too many of them are uploaded to RUclips without regard to copyright, because the company doesn't like to see the value of its products being reduced.
      Sales are not as high as the number of views on RUclips, and the value of the product is reduced by illegal uploads. Japanese companies see this as a damage to their image.
      That is why the company is giving BAND-MAID the cold shoulder.
      So we can't get the footage of the Christmas acoustic concert by legitimate means (this means that BAND-MAID gets a fair profit) and we can't pay BAND-MAID a fair remuneration.
      L33Reacts' actions are considered thievery in Japan.
      And we are not able to enjoy the Christmas acoustic concert in BLURAY because of Vladimir Chupin and others who praise such acts.

      @doraemonnobita2730 good job liking your own comment. But, it's all about exposure. Do you know how many people in my audience who would have never given them the time of day, have gone and watched said music and purchased said music? A lot. Read the comments on the older band maid videos. Now imagine EVERY reactors audience. The maids successes out here are due in part to said thievery. Fuck outta here dude lol

      Fair use, man, fair use it is. "For the sake of review, criticism, or for education purposes."
      It's all of the above here.

    • @VladimirChupin
      @VladimirChupin 7 месяцев назад

      @@Alex_8964 People have often incorrect ideas about copyright. I may refer you to a very nice book on this, from the lawyer who invented Creative Commons system (under which most of RUclips videos are now licensed). The book is called "The Public Domain: Enclosing the Commons of the Mind," and the author is James Boyle. It's available on his Website for free, you can easily find it.
      I usually can't read such books, I am bored quickly, but this one was really interesting. I read it all the way through. He argues that the current copyright limitations are very bad for humanity's development. The modern lawmakers forgot the foundations, they should better refresh in their memory what Thomas Jefferson wrote in 1813 on the subject.
      Just think of the final result, what will come out of a prohibition for reactors to comment on the music. Will it be a nice world you would appreciate more than the current state of affairs. I don't think so.
      Lee is not reselling BAND-MAID music, he is COMMENTING on it. It's fair use.

    • @Alex_8964
      @Alex_8964 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@VladimirChupin I doubt fair use applies to this video, as quoting the entire video for criticism isn't necessary. Additionally, the original video is distributed for a fee, indicating the man hasn't directly profited but obstructs the rights holder's business. Moreover, where did he obtain the original video? If it was from a Chinese pirate site for free, he too engaged in piracy.

    • @VladimirChupin
      @VladimirChupin 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@Alex_8964 The notion of the source of the original material is valid, I agree. But it relates to what happened BEFORE Lee started making his reaction, not to the end product he shared with the world.
      He may have purchased the original video himself, right? In this particular case, it must have been BAND-MAID Prime Website. In the past, you could not get music for free, it was always on a physical medium, and you had to pay for a disc or a tape. But it was always considered lawful to pass your disc or tape or book to someone else to read. People even install those little kiosks on the streets, where anyone can leave his or her book, and take any book which is already inside that box. It's not considered a piracy.
      Actually, Lee mentions it at the start of his video. Someone he does not even know just sent him a file.
      In the situation where copying of music and text and video has zero cost, the situation is different from the past, of course. But for the purpose of criticism and review, I believe it should still be lawful to use even entire source video. The reactors always do something with the original: they put it in a corner of the screen, make it smaller, overlay it with their own talking head, etc. I think it's still fair use.
      I am actually a bit surprised people distinguish between the reactions based on the source material. Of course, if people just repost the entire content of a disk, or a video downloaded from BAND-MAID Prime, this is piracy. But reactions are different, it's not just the original video. They talk over it, they pause it, they overlay it with their own image. Should be fair use, I would say.
