I am binge watching your Cambridge videos at the moment. I am obsessed and it makes me rly want to try to achieve the grades to get into Oxbridge xxx pls keep on making these videos❤️
Rock Sam what people call Oxford and Cambridge universities, as they are highly competitive which each other because they are the best two schools in the UK, and you can only apply for one or the other. Hope this helps! X
www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/2019/world-ranking#!/page/0/length/25/sort_by/rank/sort_order/asc/cols/stats According to the Times of London's World's university rankings Oxford is #1 world wide and Cambridge is #2, then Stanford USA #3, MIT USA #4, and CALTECH USA #5. So how much does Cambridge cost for tuition? At Cambridge, the government regulated tuition fee for Home fee status1 students starting their first undergraduate degree in 2019 will be £9,250 for the year. That is equivalent to $11,760.88 USD. www.undergraduate.study.cam.ac.uk/fees-and-finance/tuition-fees Room and board at Jesus College; Your total living costs - including rent, food, books and study materials, clothing, entertainment etc - will obviously depend on your lifestyle, but we estimate that around £9,420 a year should cover everything for a home (UK or EU) student in 2019 - 20. www.jesus.cam.ac.uk/college/undergraduate/costs
I only discovered this channel yesterday but have watched every video (I know it isn't that many but I should be doing revision), and I absolutely love you. Honestly, they have been so helpful in feeling prepared and very much excited for Uni. I'm not going for Cambridge but the excitement has extended towards my Uni choice anyway. Your voice is so oddly soothing and your work ethic and drive to try new things has got me so inspired. Really love your videos, going to keep checking your channel looking for new ones :D xx
Good luck this term! All the best for chemistry and maths (my own degree subjects :P ) and if you're ever stuck for ideas or lacking time, study with me vids are always a winner :) :) sending posityivity your way xx
fingers crossed for your mock results! you're quite lucky at cambridge, i had 7 hours of collections exams this week (including a 3 hour exam saturday morning!) for natsci at durham!!
I am literally binge watching all your vlogs at the moment and hopefully also your other videos and I love your videos!! Your so enjoyable to watch and I love how really you are!!! New subscribe here, and I can't wait for more videos! ❤️
Hi Paige! Firstly I love your channel. I came to Cambridge this weekend for the shadowing scheme and fell in love with the university and the city! Your videos inspire and motivate me so please keep posting :) Hope your exams went well!
Sounds very stressful but also very fun- great video! One thing that struck out to me was that it seemed like you did lots of earth science revision but I thought you said that you didn't like earth science very much? I struggle to put work into things I don't like so I'm not doing great in s2 or d1 atm. I actually hope my natsci offer doesn't specify A* in fm since I don't know if I can count on getting 90+ in m2,fp2 and 3 (haven't got my letter yet ;_;).
black 1blade I actually left Earth Sciences as the last module to revise over the holiday since it's my least favourite (hence why it made up most of my last minute revision) 😂 buttt I find it's best to make a time plan of when I am going to revise what module to force myself to spend equal time on each one, as boring as it may be! Congrats on your offer and good luck with your A levels 😊
Thank you very much and good luck with the degree! Honestly if I were you, for the actual exams I would put more work in the other ones if you are more likely to continue one of them into the second year. Probs a bit of an unrealistic scenario but I'd rather get 60% in chemistry and 40% in earth sciences rather than 50% in both if I wanted to do chemistry year 2. Although yeah ideally I guess I hope I like all my options although hopefully there is one that is clearly my fav so I can be sure about doing that one in year 2 (planning on doing physics, chem, materials and maths A or B depending how fm goes).
Ok so you probably figured it out by now but there’s a good chance those boots will literally tear your feet to shreds. You kinda just have to push through it but the more you wear them the quicker they stop trying to destroy you haha 😂
PaigeY Don’t give up! I hardly wear mine because I’m too much of a kitten about it so 5 or so years later and they still tore my feet up when it snowed and I had to walk to work in them!
Megan Hardy congrats on the offer! We did 4 chemistry practicals in first term which were each 4-5 hours long. These included anhydride hydrolysis, benzocaine synthesis, and extracting cinnamaldehyde (if any of that means anything to you?! 😂) Basically we've been building up experience of standard lab techniques like using a hot plate stirrer, rotary evaporator, separating funnel, conducting a reflux reaction, TLC etc
This might sound like a silly question, but what about past paper questions ... you can spot a pattern from previous exam papers and sort of 'predict' what's going to come up in the exam? Because otherwise what's the point of going through those, sorry I'm an international student and I never had that where I'm from! I love your channel, Paige! xx
Hi Paige, great vlog as per usual! You should try to meet with Parth G: ruclips.net/user/InfamousPillarKid - A physics student at Jesus College who also vlogs! Would be a nice insight for you both to sit down together & chat about your experiences at Cambridge. And ofc collaboration never hurts the growth of your channels!
Gez ah yes I have actually met Parth briefly, his videos are great! Hopefully will be arranging something with all the other youtubers at Jesus college shortly...
Do you have room for an actual man in your life? I can make it happen. I remember going to Cambridge it was wonderful! and now I get to have Dr before my name!

Hi i'm just a bit confused. What is 'revision'? Is it like a British term for reviewing your notes and modules or studying them?
And the rollercoaster starts again!
Love your vlog! 💕
At some point, she just looks like Anna Kendrick 😌... Or me the only who noticed that
Agree
Just wondering, trying not to sound stalkerish. Is cambridge quite close to your home home or not? Simple terms are you quite far away from home?
Ur vlogs are good and u seems to be a very studious student to me........ Most of the time u just study
Ok so you probably figured it out by now but there’s a good chance those boots will literally tear your feet to shreds. You kinda just have to push through it but the more you wear them the quicker they stop trying to destroy you haha 😂
Fran OU_rep yep they've been a little painful haha! But I'm wearing them down slowly...
PaigeY Don’t give up! I hardly wear mine because I’m too much of a kitten about it so 5 or so years later and they still tore my feet up when it snowed and I had to walk to work in them!

Ini thank you, fingers crossed 🤞
Youre back!! Does Cambridge not have exams in January like other unis? What are the mocks for?
Orneste Buitkute for natural sciences the exams are all in the summer, the mocks are a progress check and a way of making us revise over the holiday!
What other practicals do you do in chemistry? I have an offer for bionatsci next year!!
Please could u share results of mock exam thanks
Karam Sangha haven't got my mock results yet but will be sure to let you know how I did in my next vlog!
Did you do ballroom dancing before going to Cambridge or is it something that you started in first term? X
Jamie Toms pretty sure she started in Cambridge
Jamie Toms yeah I started when I got here, it's great cos they have beginners classes!
Thermals are the best love them try bottoms as well lovely
How do you revise?
Molly Taylor FLASHCARDS (I live by these) and then past paper questions!
