In my country, physical CD stores are 99.9% gone 😢 Vinyl stores are cropping up but there's literally nowhere to physically browse thru my favorite format, the compact disc. CD collectors in the US, Europe, and Japan are so lucky. Hope you folks never take for granted the simple joy of getting hands dirty browsing thru shelves of physical media. The only time I get to do that is when I travel internationally. Sigh
Blondie's "Heart Of Glass" is one of my favorite songs from my early childhood days. I was just 4 when it first hit the radio. Some classic rock stations still play it, while others avoid it like the plague. I'll always have a place for it in my heart.
It was so amazing to see Blondie at The Apollo in Glasgow, back in the day. I agree the rare stuff being on separate cd's or vinyl is a better idea than adding to the end of each album.
My favourite band in the world released the greatest box set in history. I was so excited that I bought the 10LP and 8CD boxsets even though it cost me over $850.00 AUD. But, it so worth it, the books were brilliant, the Out In The Streets 10" was a revelation, what a brilliant little record and the other extras were fantastic. And of course, the original masterpieces of late 70's, early 80's rock/pop were fantastic, they looked and sounded amazing. A wonderful boxset which is worth every penny, and a great video guys, thanks.

greetings from the UK i invested in this box set approx a month ago - it’s not often in modern vinyl collecting you really feel your getting value for money, but on this you do! and i had as much fun unboxing it as you both did 😊
Amazing review. I bought the Red Vinyl version of the Super Deluxe box set and my friend from Amsterdam bought the Platinum Blonde (looks white to me) Deluxe version. So many versions- NOT enough Debbie in the world. ❣K

I was in Derry today and they had the deluxe set on display selling for £310 and it weighed a ton. At least you got to see inside it. Lucky you. I got the 3cd set anyway not that I’d be using it much because I got iTunes. Thanks for video.
I bought the Blondie 3 cd box set on release day later that evening I was watching your video of the Blondie unboxing and saw the 8 cd set so I went back to the record store the next day on my way to work gave back the 3 cd set paid the balance and got the 8 cd box they only had one copy in store back here in Ireland the 3 cd is 46 euros and 99 cent the 8 cd is 99 99 I have her first 4 albums on cassette bought them back in the day and a double cd greatest hits I am not a huge fan so I think this will do it for me if they release any more box sets spanning the rest of her career I might pass love your web site

Unfortunately i decided to pass on the Superdeluxe edition(even though I wanted that extra book very bad), since I don´t need their albums YET once again. I did buy the version with the 4 lps of rarities and I will very probably get the 3cd version as well

…CDs can be dried too, just like records. Neither one is hurt by water. Unless of course the packaging is beyond repair. Then a boxset like this is totally worth it.
That’s not true, it does include all 52 of the same tracks. None of the sets have anything extra that is not included on the others it’s just how it’s presented that is different.
I stand corrected, I just looked at the backs of each of the 4 LPs and counted and you are quite correct. I only count 47 tracks, so you’re right 5 are surprisingly missing despite the hype sticker saying it includes all 52 which is what I initially went off of when I thought you were incorrect. My apologies. I’ll be looking into this to figure out which are the missing tracks and if this is something the label intends to fix.
@@BrendonSnyder We've already been there over on the Steve Hoffman forums, and the tracks are: Kidnapper (Take 2), Once I had a Love (1975), War Child, Heart of Glass, and Call Me (the Chris Stein mixes). It's not a mistake (presumably down to vinyl space restrictions), so no fixes for it. It's just a gotcha that purchasers should be wary of!
I’d consider Toto and The Eagles two separate styles/genres. Bands like Toto would be Journey and Survivor. Bands like the Eagles would be Poco and Fleetwood Mac. But if you’re a fan of both Toto and The Eagles and you haven’t already explored the solo albums by it’s members I’d recommend doing that first for more of the same feel.
