Good first video and good luck with the channel. I think the obvious follow-ups are Leman Russ tanks, Chimera transports, and Taurox fighting vehicles. Look forward to seeing what you post going forward.
Never liked the normal sentinel model, but after finding some proxies more to my taste, and similar in size to the new, new sentinel, I’ve decided on adding a squad of them… Or 2. Or 3? Toying with the idea of them being mobile sniper platforms, firing and moving between cover to take out enemy units. Since I mainly play narrative games against my fiancés Tau (and soon my father in laws Dark Angels), I feel myself needing some proper fast attack that isn’t a hellhound or Tauros squadron
As you said they are a heavily overlooked unit which can tie enemies either causing to fall back or destroy and in ninth edition their mobility allows them to rush up the board, whilst chimeras and Infantry are useful they are both expensive and unfortunately when it ones to guard, there’s nothing super tanky where unless it’s a baneblade you tend to lack anything that can do any actual damage and whilst your main objective is primarily to swamp the board, unfortunately with infantry receiving points increase such as conscripts being one hundred points which isn’t too bad however their lack of commands which can now only be achieved with a four plus and only be given one order, and whilst the guard has numbers unfortunately they’re just too squishy to do anything in the third and fourth round, where in one game I was playing strong against iron hands but unfortunately they just crushed everything, my two squads of conscripts got annihilated, as for my tanks they couldn’t do anything against two redemptor dreadnoughts and a squad of blade guards as for my other veterans who were used as shock troops for deep strikes where killed to a man and the Valkyrie was blown out of the sky killing an entire squad. and even if you did tie up your enemies especially tyranids, ultramarines, death guard and iron hands can easily fall back and attack even shoot
So, you're a Cadian Shock Trooper, huh? Too BAD about your homeworld! Mine just got to kick the ass of Chaos just before the revived Roboute Guilliman came along to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but ask us for help & much needed supplies! And if you haven't figured it out yet, MY homeworld is Catachan! But seriously, you did a GREAT JOB on this vid! I just find it irritating that Games Workshop's latest edition of the Rulebook for WH40K doesn't include any rules regarding the Catachan Sentinel's chainsword attachment! I mean, COME ON! That thing serves 2 purposes on Catachan: 1.) It's used for clearing jungle from settlements & 2.) It's also used for Close Combat! In game, the least Games Workshop could do would be to treat it as a power weapon which adds +d6 or at least +d3 attacks to melee only against infantry (incl. jump infantry), beasts, cavalry & bikes (incl. jet bikes) whereas against monstrous creatures & tanks it could have +d6 or even +d3 Strength on 1 attack but that's just my suggestion. I mean, my question for Games Workshop is this: Why produce an attachment such as the chainsword attachment & not give it ANY in-game board rules at all? What? Is it just a useless, good-looking, good-for-nothing decoration? Do you guys see my point?
@@CadiaStands I’ve heard that but I think the really good strat with em is to take 3 scout ones and just forward deploy them on all the midfield objectives, you’re bound to hold at least one lol.
Quite enjoyable. They remind me of the AT-RT walkers from Star Wars.

Dude, don't you mean "AT-ST"? Just so you know, AT-ST means "All-Terrain Scout Transport" in the Empire of the Star Wars universe.

On the Tabletop: terrible in 8th edition, now, in 9th, marginally less terrible lol.
Now that the lascannon, etc are free they're pretty decent--tough models for cheap to distract your opponent
