In my opinion it has one of the best sounding engines ever, that wail at high revs is just insane. Great video btw :)

If the Carrera GT was a rallye conversion, he could drive 99% of its potential.

Pierce Owen haha I came here for this comment. He def did. Did you hear that clutch chatter? He stalled it. I would bust his balls but I have heard literally everyone stalls it their first time. It is a rough clutch; very complex and different.

What a beautiful, musical noise. No artificial cracks or pops. Just the sound of the exhaust note ascending to a fever pitch before an aggressive manual shift makes the engine bark and then the music resumes.
Love what you're doing with this channel, it has become the best channel in the car community by far. I wish you all of the luck in the world for the future!

The Carrera GT is renowned to have a "difficult" clutch. I believe it's not th emost reliable either, and very expensive to change
olePT i think $25 grand... but i did hear it's reliable but u really have to know how to use the clutch properly.... or u will burn it out. But if u drive it properly i think it's reliable.

The sound is just unreal, can't think would it must sound like in persons or behind the wheel, and the history itself, brings such an experience to the drive, amazing machine. Great video James as always, love the chanel, look forward to more brilliant content.
The description of the man/machine interaction is on point! Old school no-turbo engine, manual gearbox, cable linked pedals... recipe for pleasure!
I've always loved the interior of the Carrera GT, except for the steering wheel, which is no different from a base level mid-2000's Boxster.
Thankfully it does have the leather stitched center, which was only available on CGT, 911 Turbo and GT3
Editing simply awesome. I know the fad lately is for every youtuber to have their own editor due to time and wanting to do better things but if you ever did that he or she would deinfitely need to raise the bar as your own editing and filming is already right up there.

The Best sounding stock cars i have ever heard, in order: 1: Carrera GT. 2: Lexus LFA. 3: Lamborghini V10 in Gallardo and Huracan. 4: Lamborghini V12 in, well, all their V12s. 5: Ferrari 458 V8. 6: Ferrari V12 in FF and F12. 7: Nissan Micra 1.0 (only kidding but it was my first car so it sounded like not walking which was awesome). Carrera GT would be a car to be a custodian of, you don't so much own this sort of car, you keep it for history's sake. I highly reccomend you buy one Mr James if by any chance finances allow it.
Agree with most, but 458 doesn't really represent the best Ferrari V8. I'd say F355 instead (esp. with tubi exhaust). The same goes with FF and F12, older V12s had much better note IMO. My list would go like this. 1: Lexus LFA. 2: Pagani Zonda 3: Carrera GT. 4: 991 GT3. 5: Lamborghini Countach. 6: Ferrari 355. 7: e46 M3 CSL (that intake sound is insane). Not neccesarily in that order, just love them all.
Also depends if you're speaking strictly road cars. Because if not, the 599XX definitely needs a spot there, heard one yesterday for the first time, absolutely insane.

kimi88cz I think he is, he is getting a 720s he briefly mentioned it in one of his Videos that he might sell the LT because the 720s is in most ways better!
LT's will become a collectible in the future, wouldn't be wise to get rid of both. The maintenance on one of these is cray as well! around £15,000 to get a new clutch, he talked about that in a previous video. would become a very expensive daily!
If he gets a custom exhaust for the 720S then it is on pair with the 675 LT, and for a Cerrera GT it would be worth selling the 675 LT.

dude i genuinely cannot believe the stuff you are putting out it is insane i mean if you put carrera gt into youtube there is a million videos of the car but nobody is filming, driving and explaining them in the same way. its the same with the lt and to be fair most of the videos on the channel. just keep doin what you do man !
You should buy a Bmw m5 e34 or any older car that is a bit more "powerful" just so you have fun and experience of no today technology. I think you would enjoy driving them and we would do too. You should try it! I'm in love with the channel. Keep up with the good stuff. ❤🚘

Steve Goyak it's actually not as hard to use as people think. the only odd thing about it is that from a stand still the clutch has to be almost completely off to set off but once she's actually moving she's pretty civilized if you stay within parameters of reasonable common sense. it's only when the car is pushed that it'll push back

you could hear James struggled but i guess it will be fine once you are used to it. I think this car being so dangerous has been blown up a bit since the Paul Walker incident, he would have been driving like a maniac

Somewhere there is a fix for the clutch and also there is a aftermarket front lift system too.
Ok let's be honest here, the clutch is so difficult as people say? how many times did you stall it? What colours combination would you prefer for your Gt?

+Andre Tennis It is tricky - I stalled it twice, the biggest frustration is coming out of junctions and roundabouts if you need to get out quickly you can't always do it for risk of stalling but once it's rolling it's amazing!
Mr JWW There is a fix for the clutch and first gear roll. Our shop in San Francisco gets it done.
Gemballa offers good upgrade for CGT clutch, here is C/P from their page:
The original carbon-fibre race clutch is tricky to use, especially in city conditions. The GEMBALLA replacement features special pads developed to improve the metering of clutch pedal pressure, thus ensuring a smooth and judder-free engagement in stop-go traffic.

Carbon, aluminium, leather.... then a polished wooden door knob as a shifter. Seems so out of place!
mGTSi I think James mentioned it in the previous video, that the gear knob is a tribute to a precious Porsche model (correct me if I'm wrong)
Travis Basson it's a tribute to Porsche 917 that had to have a wooden knob because the heat from the gear box would heat up the aluminum knob so much it would burn the drivers hands

I wish I had those kinds of problems...Should I buy a Carrera GT or stick with my 2 (!!!) McLarens? You deserve it more than anyone else though! We're so lucky that you make these videos instead of storing these cars away, somewhere in an underground carpark. Every time I watch your videos it feels like I've just driven that car or been to that place together with you even though I'm just sitting at uni not paying attention. You are the only RUclipsr I know that is able to transfer his emotions onto his viewers like that. Keep up the great work James. You're doing one hell of a job at the moment!
