  • Here's a quick vid of this old workhorse running and why the EPA wants these gone asap. Please forgive me this is my first vid of hopefully many more to help you guys fix your stuff and keep it running.

Sweet machine! Sounds pretty good. It's holding the RPMs quite well despite the slight bog. S-25 is the engine model. All Shindaiwa engines have an S in the engine model. The T-25 is a loop handle trimmer. The C-25 is a bike handle trimmer. That's a really desirable model especially for collectors and landscapers.

Shindaiwaman261 thanks I missed out on 2 shindaiwa t230s a few weeks back due to waiting to long and they were gone. Could have got this machine for 50 bucks but I was honest and gave home the 85 he wanted for it. My main work horse is a shindaiwa t242 1 has over 300 gallons plus ran through it and still runs like new just looks like crap from all the use

Yeah those old school models will disappear if you don't act on em as soon you see em. I used a T261X for my jobs. I learned that the hard way lol. I was looking at T270 and it was already sold by the time I called. Feel free to subscribe. Not making videos right now cause I'm away for college.

I bought my T-25 in 86 or 87. Other than new heads, rebuild the carb, it remains a working machine I still use. The engine has a good amount of torque, ideal for tall grass and brush

wow, I've had so many t-25's.. Luv em.. Great engine. They are high torque engines, it's not suppose to have the quick revving engines like some of the other shindaiwas. All the Shindaiwas pre-epa and a few after epa regs, were phenomenal> Currently using 22t, they are superb! Lite, peppy single ring engine and very durable. Awesome t-25

Do you know if there is a different carb that will fit this? I just picked up the exact same model.

Like I said my buddy looked at it but wouldn't service it as he sold the last 3 old stock diaphram kits a month ago but had the exhaust box off and said it's not even broken in yet. Don't know if I wanna keep it or sell it yet but I will be taking the tk carb apart to make a few gaskets for the bottom I'll probably keep it. Other issue was pull cord stuck had to cut original pull string it was all bright white but got dirty when I tried living recoil wire

I did just notice something other people that showed this same unit had Allen bolts and or aleen bolts with Philiphead screws this machine is the only one I've ever seen with all philiphead screws holding it all together.

Just got a non running shindaiwa t20 it’s easier to get parts for the t20 than the t25 only run top grade 2 cycle oil these old units require about 5 ounces to 5 1/2 ounces per gallon man I really sound horrible not the best speaker that’s for sure

Hello Jason, I have an s25 shin... bought it used in the 90s and used it for business as well as pleasure for many years. Gave it to my father who still has it, my father feels that there is a problem with the ignition coil. I believe you say that the t25 is the same, I was wondering if they use the same coil. I found a company online that sells a coil for the t25,
Replacement Part.com, I will call them, but just saw your vid and wondered what you thought, thanks... Ronald
