This is without a doubt my favorite, 61 Impala Rag top with the round taillights. Absolutely drop dead. The sweetest car I've seen one of a kind. And the drop top with red line tires Nails it. Thanks Scottie your video's get me thru...
Hey Scottie, when Goldman and Holcolm get together, Look out you will see magic. Whatever they touch turns to Gold.. wow Thanks for shooting!!!!! 572 Big Block
+mcinkyt There is as much attention to detail paid to things you will never see as the dash board....It's all in the details...If you don't notice....He did it right....Amazing for sure!!
Jus Fadezz I agree, I love all the Impalas 58 through 72 there's even a few newer ones I like but the 61 just owns that front end is absolutely amazing
Thanks Scottie. Just like you told Steve one bad ride. Black on black. Cool, the piping in the interior, perfect. Really like how tite and fit the drop top is, looks like a cabrolet roof. Well put together!
One of the most beautiful cars that I have see on your web site. I really like how you talk with the interior guy about how he designed the the interior. Great job on the trunk. Triple black is so classy. If this was my car, the only thing that I would add is something inside the trim bar going up the side of the car. Either something like the trim on the seats/trunk or air brushed engine turned panel inside the two trim bars.
Man! Another fantastic ride! I like the semi-flat highlights, and the stock steering wheel is very unique. Those steering wheels are 61 Impala, only. These were the FIRST Super Sport (SS). Thanks Scottie.
Makes you weep to look at it. A restomod done impeccably well. Love that it is so true to the original and the upgrades are understated, but refined. Just love any restomod that is understated. The trunk is nice, but my least favorite, but it is like grading a guy's homework of A plus and penalizing him for the handwriting.
How long do you think the differential and rear end will last with that motor. I had one of these cars and the 283 engine with a three speed transmission would blow the 4:11 pickup truck differential about every weekend. No prob, at the time (1967) the going price for a junk rear ended was $10.00.
There is also a two piece drive shaft as I recall on these cars. I can remember the center support ripping out of its moorings and thumping up against the body. Again, that was with the 283 CI motor after a few 1/4 mile runs on our local drag strip (I95 in Branford CT, near the Yum Yum drive in).
1959s were nice there used to be one on the way into town(Ugly army Green) but i never seen a 61 before! i always thought gloss black would be nice on that old 59
What Craftsmanship!!! Very Cool Scottie 😎

Your welcome Brother...They both know cool for sure!!
The one thing I always notice with Steve is he puts as much detail into the rear seat design as the rest of his work. That's dedication to detail
+mcinkyt There is as much attention to detail paid to things you will never see as the dash board....It's all in the details...If you don't notice....He did it right....Amazing for sure!!

All that has been upgraded....Reliability should not be a problem....
ScottieDTV How?
