Eatle looks fire it’s like an evolution of his OV look
Definitely like how much more detail they’ve added to Eatle. Similar to classic four arms compared to ben10k four arms
The only resigned I have an issue with Way Big. It color textures and shapes just feel off to me. The rest are pretty solid tho.
It just doesn’t feel like a version of Ben to me. It’s less ultra man more grey alien for sure
@@DrWardyI can see Ben turning into this version of Waybig when he’s like 80 and worn down by both age and constant battles. Personally I like the design but it does feel more appropriate for a live action or something.
youre right. the gritty elements of it lend it to being a live action concept. otherwise yeah, an older version of ben@@horinum

Being that Wildmutt is my all time favorite alien, it hurts to see the redesign. That's what I call overdesigning. Goop looks AMAZING!

I think a part of the reason why I'm not really a fan of Way Big's 5YL redesign is that it kinda loses a lot of the Tokusatsu elements he had, plus I'm not really fan of all the wrinkles on him.
Not to say that any detail on Way Big at all is bad, UAF had the worse Way Big design imo because it lacked a lot of detail, but I think Omniverse prolly had the best Way Big design because it managed to have the details of classic Way Big while also not overdesigning it as well.
I get what you’re saying. Omniverse strayed from classics design but kept the same level of detail
I like the fact that they didn’t undo swampfire’s blossomed design. Shows that while it wasn’t the best design Ben 10 had to offer, the Ink Tabk still respect that it happened
i think its was such a part of swampfire from that point, its great they maintained it. saying that. the blossomed form is very different to the original design.
what i like about the 5 years later designs all the aliens look more organic

The atomix 5YL design is the one I’m the most divided on
The design is actually pretty good but I wish they kept some of his over all mass
They made him so much shorter and skinnier which I feel takes away from the imposing powerhouse that atomix is
In omniverse he was as tall and as muscular as ultimate humungosaur and vilgax and now he’s around the size of kickin hawk or NRG
The design would still work is they gave him thicker arms and legs
The InkTank made him to much like alien-x in my opinion and that work for alien-x but no so much for atomix, alien-x is a man made of stars and space that warps the fabric of reality, he doesn’t need muscles or much extra mass, but atomix looks like he could have his limbs snapped with little force due to how thin they are, his old design was far more robust and looked like is could tank all sorts of damage, but this one looks like is would be shattered if hit by the the likes of ultimate humungosaur or malgax like the omniverse version was especially with the more exposed torso
You need to review his ultimates and great vid btw.

Way Big, Feedback and Armodrillo r just ugly imo,
Way Big feels a completely different alien, Armodrillo looks hideous with the exposed skin, and Feedback, my god, the tendrils should be on his head rather than his shoulders, especially since it’s pretty obvious that it was meant to be there which comes out as an awkward design, and also I don’t like pupil on his eye
the pupil on feedback very much reminds me of the tar monster from scooby doo 2

The only one I agree with her is feed back, I actually think that way big looks really cool and that it’s neat that armodrillo looks like an actual organic alien.
But feed back, yeah no this is a cause of if it an’t broke don’t fix it.
the atomix design is fire but as its own alien, the original one had a very bulky look which works better for its concept in my opinion
not sure if anyone has said this already but waybig is based on ultraman, i do like that they went for a kaiju approach but if they leaned into the "suit"ness of the og design more (like the pieces of metal on his body and the patterns that seemed very inorganic, kevin even uses waybig as a means of becoming metallic in the fight against malware) i think it wouldve worked a lot better but nothing wrong with the design they went with and it works perfectly within the context of the comic and as other people have said, more of an organic look that still works!
I wouldve loved to see two variants of waybig leaning into each. aspect

how could i forget our glorious round king. while i'm at it. really liked the 5yl spitter. very reminiscent of the ben 10k design. love how the clothes go with the body type.

The only one I can't wholey vibe with is Bloxx. While I'm not a big fan of his original design, they effectively just created a whole new alien and gave it his name. Idet he has the same power set as he originally did. I've looked through the internet and found many redesgins where they changed a few aspects of him to make it less a straight-up lego creature, but I feel that with the ink tank design, it feels like instead of redesigning him they decided to scrap the original and create a new alien that fit their story/world of ben 10 better. This is by no means a dis at the ink tank (love what they do) but I personally feel like they didn't really do him justice
For me i Just don't like articguana feedback and water Hazard (the last alien works but for me Omniverse water Hazard is goated)
one of my biggest problems with the 5yl designs are the uniforms

Waybig feels so naked without the black elements (let alone the rlly washed out red, way to call out movies washing out colord while having waybig being maroon instead of red xD)

A lot of these designs make the aliens over the top gross which detaches themselves from their original designs far too much like armodrillo and brainstorm
I think armadillo is much further removed than brain storm. There’s more of a grittiness to some
Honestly my biggest issue is Bloxx, like at that point you've changed so much of it it might as well be a different alien.
You forgot about Spitter. Also Buzzshock was in classic. He made his debut in the Ben 10,000 episode when Future Gwen brought Ben and Gwen to the future. Other than that interesting video.

Honestly the only redesign that I truly dislike is Wildmut. Just too much going on in that design. Overall though love how they all look more alien and more mature. Atomix design always felt like he was made to sell a toy like a lot of the Omniverse designs so I like the redesign a lot more. Bloxx looking more unique than just a bunch of legos stuck together was great. I liked Omniverse as a series but some of the newer aliens introduced just felt like lame designs and lost potential and the Ink Tank really came through and fixed them!

I love Shocksquatch's redesign, mixes cues from his Omniverse design and his original design from Gen Rex Vs Ben 10 and it works super well

Personaly, i think heatblast's "pants" shouldnt just stop near the crotch. It makes it like he's wearing thigh highs
even then I’d go a little lower if you were to lean into that aspect

A lot of the Omnitrix dial potions are a bit baffling to me. Why is Walkatrout’s dial on his back fin? Why is Eatle’s dial on his horn? They’re just odd choices and I think the dial is best placed on the chest imo.
I never really paid a lot of attention to the placement in these designs. I do like some variation with the standard being on the chest
Cannonbolt's dial is on his shoulders so when he rolls its in the outside

Let me just say something, I HATE Feedback's design in 5yl. Feedback's look in omniverse was great to be honest but compare that to how The Ink Tank butchered my electro boy yea Omniverse's design was way better in my opinion at least. At least 11yr old Feedback's design was close to the original at least.
I think the classic feedback has a slightly cleaner more bulky design. what about the 5yl feedback don't you like?

@@TheGamerninja15 while I agree that the antennas would be better out of the back of the head, I actually don’t like the omniverse design. It’s always suspended my disbelief too far to have an alien with literal plugs on their body, and I like how it's been toned down here

@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265 There was an elasticity to Buzzshock’s design, he could bend himself in a way that suggested he wasn’t actually a battery, he just looked like one.
The plugs on Feedback are just plugs, you find them in stores, and there’s nothing alien about it

Atomix is too scrawny, and Alien X would propably look better with a White aura, rather than Blue.

id say theyve largely evolutions of the original designs, in the same way ben10k's aliens change, its only normal his aliens would change as ben does.
No they are not over designs. An over design is a design with so many small details cluttered on top of each other you often times cant see wtf is even going on.
That is not the case with any of the ink tank designs, i may not like that many of them but even i can see they are far from being over designed.
